A few days had gone by and Billy wasn't following me as much... It's scarier when he isn't because I don't know where he is or what he is doing and so I can't keep track of him. I was sitting on my bed listening to my walkman and flipping through a magazine. Eddie was supposed to stop by later, his uncle's truck is still in the shop. My dress hung in the corner. I will admit the tights Billy chose were cute. I did buy them but not for him, not for Eddie. For me.

"Hey Princess!"

"OH MY FUCKING GOD!" I screamed as I threw the walkman at the intruder and jolted out of bed.

Eddie had snuck into my room and that mixed with me constantly worried Billy would show up made me feel more on edge.

"Whoa I'm sorry. You okay?" Eddie asked as he stepped toward me, "I told you I would come by, Baby... I didn't mean to scare you..."

I let my breathing get back to normal and smiled, "No no. You're fine. I just wasn't expecting such a grand entrance." I laughed.

"You sure you're okay, Baby?" He asked, "You broke your walkman..."

"I'd rather break that than you." I laughed.

"Please don't break me." He grinned, "But um I'm here to ask you something!"

To the dance? He better.

"Oh?" I smiled, "Well ask away!"

"So I know there's this winter dance thing and I know it's the social norm to ask and take your sweetheart of some sorts to said normy event however, I'm not one to indulge in forced conformity but how can I not partake in an event where I can see you all dressed up? So it would be an extraordinary honor if you would accompany me to this year's class of 86' winter formal at OUR special place!"

"Eddie... I'd love to but I want our friends to see he too!" I smiled, "I even picked the perfect dress... That sounds lovely but what's wrong with just attending the dance together? It could be actual fun."

I could see a slight look of disappointment but also understanding flash across his features.

"You know me, I don't go anywhere I'm not wanted and I get it, I would never want to take my princess away from her court of piers, so go to the dance, be merry as they say, have fun, but then meet me where we can be alone, I promise it will be worth you while." He said as he wiggled his eyebrows.

I smiled and walked up to him, "Promise?"

He pressed a kiss to my lips as he pulled me to his chest, "I promise." He grinned as he pressed his forehead to mine.

It's been a while since we started dating and he still makes me feel like I did the first time I saw him.

"Yes, I would love to go to not the winter formal dance with you " I said reluctantly.

He grinned, "Thank you, Princess."

****THE NIGHT OF THE DANCE****

I got my dress on and felt amazing. It hugged every curve and was flattering as all hell. The black stockings were a nice touch. Hopefully I don't get a run in them going to find Eddie at our spot tonight. My mom helped me with my hair, she put it in a nice cascading waterfall of waves that fell over my shoulders. I wore black cat-eye eyeliner and mascara. Nothing too flashy but still classy. I smiled at my reflection,

"Mom! I look great!" I smiled.

"You always do, Y/N! Is Eddie picking you up?" She asked.

"No. He has a few things he needs to do before he goes. I'm catching a ride with Steve and Robin."
