Suddenly, I hear a gun go off. Henry immediately pulls me behind him and all of our friends go back inside, nearly trampling eachother trying to get inside. "HEATHER, HENRY!" Dustin screams, but Steve pulls him inside, locking the door. I feel my eyes fill with tears, even though I know it didn't hit either of us. My mom is too weak to pull the trigger of a gun, so I know it must be her boyfriend. What does he think he is going to do, kill two teenagers? "Get in the car, Heather." The guy growls, and I peak around Henry, and the guy is holding the gun in the air. "Put the gun down." Henry says quietly, more put-together then what I thought he would be like. "Mark, put the gun in your pocket.." my mom grabs on his arm, but the guy begins to walk closer to me and Henry and suddenly a gust of air hits me and suddenly I'm floating in the air for a second before I get pushed across the parking lot, which is tiny, but I know it was Henry. This is the second time I've seen him use his abilities. The third time is less than five seconds late when Mark's gun is flying out of his hands and landing on the ground beside him, and I can hear his arm snapping back. My eyes widen with fear; I can now see his bones sticking out of his arm. "MARK!" My mom calls out, screaming, and Mark behind to cry in pain, falling to the ground, my mom coming to his side. "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!" Mark calls out, and I run over to Henry. "Heather, I'm so sorry." He grabs my head, mainly my cheeks, looking into my eyes. "What, why are you sorry?" My heart is beating increasingly fast, and he sighs. "B-brenner, he's going to get me, again." His breathing is raspy, and I'm confused. "What do you mean? No he won't, you didn't do anything wrong, you were defending me!" I look up to him and he leans down and kisses me on the lips. I push away. "Henry what do you mean Brenner is going to get you?"

It's like a sudden realization hits him. "I have to go."  He shuts his eyes, kissing me one more time. He pulls away, turning around. Of course there's woods behind us. And they don't lead to my house. "No, what do you mean?" I ask, and he continues walking. "Henry, what do you mean!" I scream, and I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack. "Heather," he turns around, looking at me, "Take care of yourself, I'm so sorry I wasn't able to take care of you." His eyes look full of pain. He turns back around. I begin to run after him, he wasn't leaving me like my dad, or my mom, or everyone from whenever I lived in Illinois.

He's too fast for me though; and I hate myself for having so little energy. He then disappears into the woods. And just like that, the spark I always feel when he's around, is gone.
