Pulling up to the police department, we step out of the SUV and walk up to the front doors. My mom holds me close to her, worry written all over her face as I continue to cry silently. Stepping inside, my dad gestures for us to sit down while he walks over to the front desk. My mom pinches the bridge of her nose, shaking her head subtly.
After a few moments, my dad walks back over and sits on the other side of me. "The chief will talk to us in a few minutes." He says quietly, rubbing my back while looking around.
Once it's been a few minutes, someone calls us back to their office. Following the man, we entire the chief's office, and motions for us to sit down. My mom and I sit down while my dad stays standing.
"So, someone has violated a restraining order?" The man asks, looking at us with hands clasped together.
"Against my son, Tooru Oikawa. His ex-boyfriend who is now 19, has done awful things to him. We took him to court and he was let out on bail a few weeks ago, which is why we moved here. We got a restraining order against him and now he's texting my son." My dad says.
"May I see these messages?" The man asks as I nod, unlocking my phone and showing him the messages between me and Sota. "Mmm... Okay, how long has this been going on for?"
"Since Monday. Tooru threw up once he got the first message when he was at school. He raped him around a year ago, twice. That's why Sota was locked up until he was set on bail." The woman beside me says.
"We'll get in touch with him and warn him that if he continues this behavior, he will be locked up for violating a restraining order." The man says, smiling subtly. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." He adds, looking directly at me as my mom holds me close to her side.
"It's over with now... I just want him out of my life. Permanently." I say, standing up with my parents and leaving with them.
Walking back to the car, we hop in and stay quiet as dad turns on the car and reverses out of the parking space. Feeling my phone buzz, I open the message and smile subtly at Atsumu adding me to a group chat with all of our friends.
"So, tell us about your new friends." My mom says, breaking the silence.
"Well, I got 14 new friends. Technically 15 but the one guy doesn't like me... Dad, did you know someone who had the surname Iwaizumi, back in high school?" I ask, my dad stiffening.
"Yes, I did." He responds after a moment. "His name was Katsu Iwaizumi. He and I fought over your mother until she chose me. We were best friends for a while until that happened. He didn't want to be friends with me anymore, so he left and married someone by the name of Saki. They had a son... Hajime."
"Hajime Iwaizumi... That's the guy who doesn't like me."
"Don't talk to him, let alone interact with him. He's most likely just like his dad, so stay away. Promise you'll stay away?" He asks desperately.
"I can't promise that because we're project partners. We were over at his house doing the project... and we live right next to them, dad. Just in case you didn't know." I say quietly, the man grunting in annoyance as my mom places her hand on his arm.
"If he tries anything with you, I'm getting involved, alright?"
"Yes, dad..."

Getting home, I immediately head for my room just as someone calls me. Looking at the caller ID, I smile subtly and answer the call once I see Atsumu's name. "Yesss?" I ask, walking into my room and closing the door behind me.
"Why did you leave Iwaizumi's place in a hurry? He texted us about it, of course, complaining about how he had to do the research on his own." Atsumu states as I look out my window to see Iwaizumi's room. He's not there.
"Well, something came up... I got another text from my ex and I had to go show my parents. They took me to the police department and we talked to the chief of police about it. They're going to warn him to stay away from me or else they'll arrest him for violating the restraining order." I say honestly, sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Aw man, you doing okay? We're all worried about you. Aside from that piece of trash Iwaizumi."
"I'm doing alright now. I had a small panic attack but that was about it."
"Alright. Hey, Sakusa's party got moved to this Friday. Are you joining us? You don't have to if you don't want to." Atsumu says, sounding quite reassuring. It wouldn't hurt to go, would it? I'll just stick by the sober ones instead of the drunk ones.
"I'll be going. I'll just tell my parents what Sakusa told me to say. They want me to hang out with people and socialize anyway." I say, sighing deeply. "So, what are you up to?" I ask, looking around my room. I put up fairy lights yesterday and it adds something nice to my room. I love them.
"Well, Kenma, Akaashi, Tendou, Shirabu, Makki, Suna, and I are going out to just wind down and relax. You're free to join us!" He says, almost sounding eager for me to join them. I hum in thought before making up my mind.
"Alright then."
"Great! I'll come pick you up! Be there in 15." He then ends the call as I stand up and walk downstairs to meet with my parents.
"Hey, is it alright if I go hang out with my friends? I already kinda agreed to it..." At this, my mom squeals and wraps her arms around me in a tight hug. "Where's the fire?" I ask with a light chuckle.
"I'm sorry! I'm just so happy that you found some friends! Go on, get ready!" She demands, my dad laughing as she pushes me toward the stairs. Chuckling again, I rush up the stairs and look through my closet to pick out a nice outfit. Hmm, I want something soft and cute. Of course, add some black in there.
Picking out my outfit, I change into it and look at myself in the full-body mirror. Off purple sweater, white shirt with a collar underneath it, black pants that go down to my calves, white knee-high socks, and white sneakers. To top it off, a black choker. Feeling proud of my outfit, I head downstairs.
My mom turns around and gasps. "You look stunning!" She says, taking a good long look at me.
Hearing a car horn outside, I say goodbye to my parents before rushing outside and opening the door to the gate. Closing it, it locks automatically before I head over to the dark grey Lexus IS. Sliding into the passenger seat, Atsumu gasps at my outfit.
"Damn, I want your closet." He says, chuckling before driving forward as I buckle up.
"So, where are we going?" I ask.
"Park. So... hey, do you... Do you have anything for Iwaizumi? Feeling wise..." The faux blonde mumbles, staring forward.
"Why would I? He's a jerk that hates me for no good reason whatsoever." I say sternly. Why is he asking that question? I strongly dislike Iwaizumi due to his attitude toward me. I didn't do anything wrong and neither did my parents. So what is his deal with me?
"It's just... He's the type to be mean to someone he likes. We don't know what goes on in that head of his because he doesn't tell us jack shit. But I mean like, maybe you'll be the one to change him."
"I don't think so. He hates my guts. But I don't want to talk about him, he scares me." I say honestly, the faux blonde nodding in agreement with a light laugh. "Nice car you got here."
"Thanks, my parents got it for me a few weeks ago because they were tired of me driving their cars to school. How rich is your family, exactly?" He asks as I hum in thought.
"Well, we're rich enough to buy two more houses of the one we have right now and this one was fucking expensive."
"Wow."
"Yup."
