Ch 13 Please Don't Leave Me

I went back home then went to sleep on my bed During the night I heard a smash then Dally ran in my room

"Go hide in the bathroom and lock the door" Dally yelled as I ran out my room

I heard gun shots and wanted to cry but greasers don't cry

"Dally what going on" I asked him running in the bathroom

Dally didn't say anything just when downstairs

I was still hiding in the bathroom crying it been about 10 minutes and there was still noise going on

I was scared and didn't know what to do I looked around and saw the phone and started to dialed Darry's number

"Hello" someone said on the phone

"Who do I have" I asked

"Darry" he told me

"This is Tiffany I need you to come over I'm scared" I said

"Where Dally" Darry asked me

"Downstairs" I said

There was a huge gun shot and I started to cry again

"Hurry Darry please hurry" I cried as I hang up the phone

I was crying a lot I though maybe Dally dead and I'm all alone

It was 3 minutes waiting in the bathroom when I heard someone knock on the door

I was scared and tried to stay quite but when the person said my name I opened the door

"Tiffany are you there" he said

I opened the door to see that it was Pony

"Ponyboy" I said opening the door and running to him

"I'm glad your OK" Pony said hugging me

"Where Dally" I said running downstairs

Pony tried to stop me but I kept on running when I got downstairs I saw police taking Dally away

"Hey don't take away my brother" I yelled at the police

I tried to grab Dally's hand but the cops stop me

"Everything going to be ok, WAIT who's going to take care of her" Dally said to the cops

"I will" I felt a hand on my shoulder

I turned around saw dad a bunch of bad memories came back to me about him

He use to abuse us he didn't give a shit about me and Dally at all so why is he here now

"You will be living with me now at my new house" Dad told me

"No I'm not letting him take care of her" Dally said trying get out of the police man grip

"Calm down he is her legal guardian so he will take care of her" the police man said

"Can I at less say goodbye to her" Dally asked

"You got 5 minutes" the police man said letting go of Dally

I ran to Dally crying in his arms

"Tiffany Winston don't you stat crying on me" Dally said giving me a hug

"Dally I can't help it they're taking you away from me" I cried

"I'm only in there for 3 months" Dally said

I started to cry more

"Please don't let me go with dad" I said

"Look at me" he said putting both hands on my cheeks

"If he dose anything bad to you I want you to run away and I mean anything" Dally cried

"I don't want to lose you Dally" I said tearing up

"I'll be out before you know it" Dally said

"Time to go kid" the police man said

"Don't leave me Dally" I said as dad pulled me back

"I love you" Dally said walking to the police car

"I love you too" I cried as he left

I watched as the police car took off when they were out of sight I started crying more

My dad put his hand on my shoulder but I just shook it off I noticed Pony, Soda and Darry were looking at me I ran over to Pony and cried in his arms

"Pony I don't want to go with my dad he going to do horrible thing to me" I said crying

"I won't let anything happened to you" Pony said

"Come in the car and lets go" Dad yelled at me

"I have to go now" I said giving Pony a kiss then running to car

It took us a few min for us to reach my dad's house when we did get to his house I got out and looked at it

I would rather live in a dumpster then his house my dad's house was dirty mess it looked like a bunch of rats lived there and it smelled funny

He told me I would be sleeping on the couch so I took off my shoes then fell asleep on the couch for the night crying

I woke up to the sound of my dad screaming he grabbed my arm and pick me up he was beating me

I wanted to run but when I tried he grabbed my shirt I was beat up pretty bad then he throw me on the floor as he started to drive away

When dad was gone I started to run away to the Curtis house out of breath

"Tiffany what happened" Darry asked

"I need my...my...my inhaler" I said as Soda hand it to me

"You better be glad that Dally gave us your other inhaler just in case" Soda Said

Just then a car pulled up it was dad's and he came in the house

"Where the guy that got you preagant" Dad yelled

"Just leave us alone" I cried

"What the hell are you doing here" Darry asked my dad

"The real question is why did you take my daughter" Dad yelled at him as he grabbed my arm and took me to the car

I saw Pony calling the cops on my dad before we drove away

When we got to his house the cops were there and they took my dad away from me

"Tiffany"

I looked over to see it was Pony

"Pony" I cried

"I need to talk to you" the police man said

I walked over to the man he told me I would be staying at Darry's house because Darry tried all that he could to let them have me start with him

"Darry you really did this for me" I said to him

"I'll do anything for family, the gang is my family" Darry told me

Darry gave me a hug as we started to drive back to the Curtis house in Darry's car
