Ch 6: Visit

Dantine's Pov

Dantine: "The Order of the Sword, eh?"

Lady: "You heard of them?"

Dantine: "My sister's told me some things. Sparda worshipping cult, right?"

Lady: "Yes, although recently, they seem to be gearing up for something. They've been targeting devil arms. Like the ones you have. They also stole some stuff from me, so I planted a fun surprise in one of the artifacts they were after and let them take it. It doesn't seem like it scared them off, though."

Dantine: "Why would they start now?"

Lady: "I don't know."

Dantine: "Do they know about my sister?"

Lady: "I doubt it. She's much more competent than you are, right?"

Dantine: "We should get Trish in on this. We don't know what these people are capable of." I took the Sparda off the wall. "I guess it's time I go visit them."

Y/N's Pov

I was sitting bored in the church. I normally didn't attend services, but I'd heard they were going to announce something big. This was a week after the house fire, so this had to be something different.

What they said worried me. They claimed that the 'savior', which was apparently a bringer of an end time that would create a perfect world, was coming soon. I wasn't sure what that could mean, but it wasn't good.

Just as I was wondering what it could be, I saw Vergilia's sister burst through the ceiling and shoot Sanctus in the face. Some of the knights attacked her, but she took them all down effortlessly. Everyone else evacuated, but she recognized me and I stayed after everyone else was gone.

Y/N: "What are you doing here?"

Dantine: "I've come to visit." She smirked.

Y/N: "What's going on?"

Dantine: "Don't know yet. Where's my sister? I need to talk to her."

Y/N: "Probably home. Follow me from the rooftops. You can teleport too, right?"

Dantine: "Yeah."

Y/N: "Ok, stay out of sight." I looked down and saw that the knights weren't people, they were demons.

Dantine: "They seem to be doing some shady stuff. I'm here to stop them."

Y/N: "Alright, let's go."

I made it home ok. There were demons all around, but Dantine covered me with her guns while I led her to our home. When I got to the door, she teleported down to it and came inside.

Nero: "Aunt Dantine!" He ran over and hugged her.

Dantine: "Woah, hey there kiddo!"

Vergilia: "What are you doing here?"

Dantine: "The Order's up to something. I'm here to stop them once and for all."

Y/N: "Nero, let's let them catch up." I took him to the other room.

Vergilia's Pov

Vergilia: "Where's father's sword?"

Dantine: "Trish gave it to them so she could get undercover." I was about to panic. "Don't worry. They can't use its full power. Together we're still more than powerful enough to stop them." I calmed down. She was right. Only a blood descendent of Sparda could use his full power.

Vergilia: "So where do we start?"

Dantine: "I also found out they're opening hell gates. Those obelisks around? They're portals to the demon world. That's why that demon you encountered came through one."
