For once, Harper was excited to get up.
After talking with Enoch, it took her mind off of everything else.

She never forgot about the friends and family she lost. I mean, how could she?
This feeling she was feeling about Enoch was the best distraction from all of her troubles.

Speaking of those feelings, she didn't exactly know what she felt, but she knew it was the perfect thing to make her forget.

"You look nice." Rory buttered her toast.
"Why thank you, Florence!" She chirped.
Rory looked at the girl concerned.

"Why so... Chipper?" She laughed nervously.
"Today is a good day, my friend." Harper smiled and poured herself some water.

"I'm trying to read your thoughts, but there are hundreds of millions." She approached the girl and attempted to poke her cheek.

"What are you doing?" Harper squinted her eyes.
"Trying to see if you're robotic."

The brunette laughed at her friend.
"You're hilarious!"

Being happy and bubbly was hard.

Claire came running into the kitchen and over to the girls.
"Hello, Claire bear!" She picked the girl up and twirled her around.

"Maybe it's aliens..."
Rory muttered.
Jj approached the blonde and towered behind her.
"Is she extremely happy again?" He sighed.
"Again? What do you mean?"

"She is only ever like this when she's sad or numb."
Harper turned to face them.
"What? No. No, I'm great! I'm like... On top of the world!" She protested.

"If you say so.." Jj dragged out.

One by one everyone began to hurry downstairs.

The table was full of breakfast choices.
Harper's mind was too focused to eat anything.

"Why aren't you eating?" Miss Peregrine asked.
"It's a busy day!"
Miss Peregrine chuckled. "It's your first full day here. What are you busy with other than finding your way around?"

"...That! That is exactly what I am busy with."
Everyone just gave the girl weird looks and then continued to eat their food.

For the first time this morning, Harper looked over at Enoch.
He was already looking at her, but quickly looked away and scoffed.

Her smile faltered.
This'll be hard.

"Miss Peregrine?" Emma asked.
"Yes, Emma?" The lady replied to the blonde.
"I was thinking that we could all go for a walk. We haven't done it in a little while." She suggested.

"That's a wonderful idea, Emma!" Miss Peregrine beamed.

"Does everyone have to go?" Rory frowned.
"Yes, Florence. Everyone."
