Harper didn't hesitate before knocking, better to get it over and done with, am I right?

"Enoch." She greeted before closing the door behind her. "What?" His sharp tone asked.
"I've come to say some things." The girl was now hesitant.

"Go on." He nodded.
"I would like to apologise for starting a very unnecessary argument, I seem to do it a lot." Harper stumbled over her words.

She was never one to apologise. She preferred to wait for the other person to apologise so she could hesitantly accept.

"Okay." Enoch still refused to look at her.
"Why won't you look at me? Why am I apologising? You're the one who said you wanted to not kiss me after... After you know what." Harper looked down embarrassed.

"I didn't want to get caught. I so clearly never meant it." Enoch stifled an annoyed chuckle.
"Did you even want to do any of that with me?"
She asked, emphasising the 'me'.

Enoch nodded. "Obviously, I did! You think I'd do that from boredom?"

"How would I know? Every time I'm with you we're always arguing or snogging! You never wanna talk to me or smile at me when there are others around and you completely ignore me half of the time! It's like you don't even want me around!"

It felt good to tell Enoch how she felt.

The boy stood silent.

"Aren't you going to say anything? I'm not a mind reader, Enoch! I don't know what you're thinking. And I'm obviously not empathetic!"

Yelling at him also felt good.

She began to get frustrated.
"Say something!" She walked closer to him.
"Like what? I didn't use you for sex. I'm not sure how to show the affection you'd like me to."
His voice was a whisper.

"I just want to know what you think of me. Do you even like me? Did you ever like me?"

I mean, none of them ever admitted that they liked one another so why should it matter?

"I don't know." Enoch's face was as straight as a ruler. "You don't know? Enoch, I trusted you with myself and you don't even know if you like me." Harper laughed.

"What are you talking about?"
"I'd never done that before. I'd hardly kissed a boy until I joined my old loop!"
"Done what?"

"Been with someone..."

Finally, Enoch looked up at the girl as he caught on to what she was saying.
"You hadn't?" His expression turned guilty.
"No." Harper was near tears.

This was embarrassing enough.
Imagine crying.

So, that is why she walked away.

Enoch mumbled some words under his breath.
"Wait!" He hesitantly said. "Am... Sorry." He grumbled.

She's stopped but refused to turn around.

"Prove it."
And with that, she left.

Apologising is the hardest thing ever.
Especially when you're right.

Throughout the whole day, Harper and Enoch only shared mad or sad glances to one another.

Well, she shared sad ones,
Enoch on the other hand just looked mad, but there's nothing she could do to fix it, I mean he was in the wrong anyways, not her.

"Harper!" Claire shouted as I walked past her room.
I stopped in my tracks and took a few steps back so that I was standing outside of the young girl's door.

"May I?" She held up some lipstick and eyeshadow.
I shook my head. "God, no."

Claire smiled before I felt myself being pushed towards a chair. "Ah!" I fought the figures which I couldn't see.

"Let the child do make up on you. It'll be funny." Jj pleaded as he sat me down. "Yeah, it'll be a great laugh." Rory chimed in.

"Did you give her the make up?" I asked.
"Of course I did." Rory scoffed in a knowing tone.
"Please." Claire gave me puppy dog eyes.

Fucking hell.

"Fine."

Somehow it's always this distracting me from Enoch.

"I look awful!" I exclaimed.
"Give us some more enthusiasm!" Rory motivated. "I looked awful!" I exclaimed once again. "Yeah! Yeah, you do!"

I turned to the blonde and glared.

"Dinner!" Olive yelled from downstairs.

"I need to take this off!" I scrambled to find the face wipes. "Forget it and just come downstairs." Claire dragged me away and downstairs.

"In all honestly, it isn't really that bad, maybe if you sorta went with a more natural lipstick and chilled on the blue eyeshadow..."

I huffed and walked into the dining room.

"Wow! Harper! You look..." Hugh burst into a fit of giggles. "Shut up." I glared at the boy and took a seat near the edge of the table.

"Your new makeup choice is very, um, interesting." Emma nodded. "Yeah, did it myself." I gave a fake smile as a few people snorted.

"Clearly." Enoch plumped down in his chair.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked. "Oh, nothing."

"Clearly." I mocked.
