Everything seemed to be going great now.
Harper and Enoch weren't arguing; no one was upset, and Harper had finally settled in.

There was only one question she had.
What was in the door at the end of the hall that Miss Peregrine went in for hours.
She usually came out wiping some tears from her eyes.

She wanted to go in and see for herself, but didn't want to pry.

"Rory? What's in that room?" She pointed.
Rory shook her head vigorously. Her facial expression had completely changed.
"Okay..."

The girl excused herself and walked away.

"I could show you what's in there."
There showed Enoch, a devious smirk playing.
"Enoch, no!" Olive stood beside the boy.
Enoch shoved her off.

"Calm down, Olive. Harper deserves to see."
"What? It's not filled with dead bodies is it?"
Harper stifled a laugh.

Olive just huffed and stormed away.

"Is it?" She again asked.
"Come find out." He approached the door quietly, careful not to be too loud.

Of course, there wouldn't be a room filled to the brim with dead bodies. This is a children's home for Christ's sake, not a morgue.

He was hesitant to open it.
Enoch looked back at Harper, and then to the door.
"Forget it. Let's go." Something in his eyes had changed. Enoch began to walk to the girl and pull her away. Enoch, I wanna know what's inside the room."
She looked back at the door.

Enoch pulled her to his room and sat her down on his bed.
"What are you doing?" The girl asked confused.

"Victor. It's Victor."
Harper was beyond confused. "Huh?"
"In the room. Bronwyn's brother victor."
She stood up. "Why can't I see him?"
Enoch just pushed her back down and continued. "He's not exactly..."

It was obvious what he was leading to.

"Oh... I'm sorry." She pitied.
"Don't be. It was a long time ago."
She was hesitant to ask this.
"How did it happen?"

Enoch sighed.
"Remember that hollow you stopped? That's how."
He tried to sound like he didn't care, but it was quite obvious that he did.

"That's why you didn't want me to see, isn't it?"
Enoch kneeled and leaned his arms on her legs.
"It took me a moment to remember what you went through."

"I'm sorry for saying what I did about your friends. Of course, you care that they died." Harper had forgotten about that situation.

"No. You were right. I haven't shown any emotion to it. It's like I've forgotten how to feel. The only time I can actually feel things is... When I'm with you."

It was probably the most awful time to do this considering they were talking about their loved ones dying, but oh well.

Harper pushed her lips against his.
The last time she kissed him she was more nervous than ever before, but now she just wanted to feel something.

Enoch kissed back, pushing his arms up to gain a little height.

They stayed like that for what felt like hours.
Harper's hand running through his hair, Enoch gripping onto her neck.

He again changed his arm position.
One next to her right thigh, while the other remained on her neck.

Enoch pulled away for a moment, his lips hovering over hers, lightly grazing them as they both caught breath.

"Every time we're together something goes wrong."
Harper mumbled against him.
"Perhaps." Enoch looked into her eyes.

She was never one to hold eye contact, but she just couldn't look away.

"Enoch..." Harper leaned her head against his.
Enoch hummed in response.
"Are we sure we should be kissing?" Asked the girl.

Enoch removed his hand from her neck and took a seat beside her. "We don't have to if you don't want to."

Enoch then went on to ramble something about kissing.

"Just shut up." She cupped his cheeks, kissing him roughly. Enoch put his hands on Harper's waist to pull her closer.

"Pull me any closer and I will quite literally be on top of you." She stifled a laugh.

Her leg was between his thighs, and she was leaning over him.

"Would that really be so bad?"
He continued to pull her closer.
Eventually, Harper was sitting on his lap.

The two continued this for what felt like hours.

Suddenly, the door swung open.
"You will not believe what I just heard!"
It took the girl a minute to realise what she was witnessing.

Harper and Enoch quickly pulled away from one another.

"Rory! Out!" Enoch pointed to the door.
Harper lowered his hand. "You can stay if you'd like."
Please don't stay.

"No. I'm good." Rory showed a disgusted face.
"Okay... What was it you wanted to tell me?" The brunette asked her friend.
"Er, I'll tell you later." Honestly, Rory looked like she was in shock.
Who could blame her?

"You gonna leave now or...?" Asked Enoch.
Rory nodded and quickly shuffled out.
"I better go." Harper pointed to the door and the direction Rory had gone.

Enoch just clenched his jaw.
"Every time. Every fucking time." He cursed under his breath.

"You'll get me all to yourself one day, Enoch."
She flirted before getting off of him.
"I want you now."

Knees are weak at this point.

The girl bent down, her face inches from his own.
"Patience, Enoch." She kissed his cheek and walked out.

Harper heard the boy mumble about not being patient.

"What was is that was so important you interrupted me?" She crossed her arms and stared at her friend.

Rory stared at the girl, still in shock. Harper raised an eyebrow and the girl snapped back into reality.

"Well, erm, I overheard Millard and Hugh talking about how you kissed Millard... I take it that's not true considering what i've just witnessed..."

Oh, fucking hell.
