Rossi's special gift for your 16th birthday:

You had just woken up on your 16th birthday to the smell of pancakes filling the house. You quickly hop out of bed still in your pajamas as you walk downstairs. You see your dad make his famous pancakes that he makes for you every year for your birthday. Your dad had requested the day off from work and Hotch accepted. Your mom was Rossi's 1st wife but they got divorced when you were three. Your dad says that the first divorce is always the messiest as your dad ended up getting full custody of you.

"Morning mi amore" he says as he greets you with a big hug and kiss. "I can't believe you are 16 today" he says. You sit down on the island as he flips a pancake on the plate right in front of it. You eat two pancakes before heading your way upstairs. You then head upstairs and throw on your uniform which consists of a plaid skirt and blouse. You throw on a pair of your golden goose sneakers before putting on your cross necklace and a light amount of makeup. You then straighten your hair before blowing out your curtain bangs. You then walk downstairs to see your dad had made you your lunch. He put it into one of your lululemon bags which you used as a lunch box before placing it in your bag.

You then hop into the Range Rover before your dad drives you to school. As you hop out he tells you to have a good day and then tells you to go get your nails done after school while he finishes up on your presents. You finish school and see Emily was waiting for you outside of school as she brings you to get your nails done. Emily would often pick you up if your dad couldn't or you would get a ride home from the maid whenever they were on a case. "So what design are you thinking of getting" Emily asks as you pull up Pinterest and show her the bright pink nails with a small white lightning bolt on the ring finger. "Very nice" she says as she shows you the dark red colour she was looking to get.

Your dad always treated Emily like a daughter so it was no surprise that she started treating you like her younger sister. Emily was always there for you as she taught you everything from periods to boys. Rossi knew that she was the closest thing you had to a mom and always felt bad for leaving you without a motherly figure in your life. So he would always pay for you two to go on girls days which consisted of trips to the spa, nail salon, shopping, and more. When you drove to the nail salon, you sat down in the waiting room chairs as Emily goes up to the lady "Prentiss for 2 at 3:45" wait right here and I will get someone for you and your daughter she says as she leaves to go to the back room before Emily could even correct her.

You would often get called sisters or mother and daughter by strangers because you looked so alike. You had dark hair and very pale skin, a similar complection to Emily but you had thick eyebrows as Emily had really thin ones. She was always jealous of your eyebrows. You were both around the same height as Emily was 5'8 and you were 5'7. You sat down in the chairs and started getting your nails done. You both got gel because last time you got acrylics, Reid said some dumb fact about how acrylics ruin your nails and your dad heard and freaked which got you both into big trouble. The process took about an hour. When your nails were done, you drove home.

As you walk in, you could smell the spaghetti and meatballs coming from the kitchen "Daddy Im home" you said as you walk in through the front door. You then walk up to your room and change into your brandy Melville white Gina top and lululemon leggings before slipping on your ugg slippers. As you walk down the stairs, you see Emily and Rossi in a serious discussion as they kept their voices low and only stopped when Emily saw you. She cleared her throat as Rossi looked over at you. Just as you were about to ask what that whole conversation was about, Rossi asks if he could see you nails.

You show him your nails as he says "the bright pink looks great against your spray tan" with a big smile. Emily bursts out laughing at the comment. "It's not my fault you didn't pass the Italian skin on. So as punishment you have to pay for my monthly spray tan" you say back with an even bigger grin. Emily is laughing so hard she snorts. Which causes you and Rossi to laugh at her laugh. The sweet moment ended as the timer went off saying that the meatballs were ready. As you went up to set the table, Emily told you to sit back down as it was the birthday girls job to rest while everyone else did the work.

You sat down as Emily set the table and Rossi made some finishing touches to the dish. He then brought the food over and put it on the table before digging in. When you were done eating, Emily cleared the table as Rossi got your cake set up. You just sat there and waited patiently as the lights turn off while Rossi and Emily walk in the room with a big chocolate cake. "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear y/n, happy birthday to you!" You blow out the candles and cut into your cake. You all eat about two slices before putting it back in the box and throwing it in the fridge. As Emily puts plates in the dishwasher, Rossi grabs the birthday presents.

He comes out with a big box filled with gifts. He then starts giving you a small bag from Sephora. Before you open it he said "I took Emily shopping with me to buy all your presents instead of going to work one day. Let's just say she ran my credit card clean." He says as Emily gives him a big cheesy smile causing him to chuckle. You open it and you got the benefit gimme brows set. "Oh My God Em how did you know?" You ask. "I'm a darn good profiler what can I say" she says causing Rossi to roll him eyes. You ended up getting the tarte beauty concealer from Sephora, coco Chanel perfume from Chanel (the same one that Emily uses), three sports bras, 5 pairs of black leggings, two align tanks from lululemon, two dresses and three skirts from love shack fancy, three pairs of mom jeans from American eagle, more sweatpants from brandy Melville while Emily gets you a few bras and underwear from Victoria secret "I didn't think it was appropriate for your dad to buy you these" Emily said with a wink. You then give your dad a big hug and thank him for all the gifts and Emily an even bigger hug for helping him pick out the gifts.

As you were about to go upstairs to your room to put your presents away your father stops you. "I have one more gift to give you" he says with a smile on his face. He then grabs a small box from the inside of his coat pocket and hands it to you. Emily then pulls out her phone and starts recording. Weird you thought. You open the box and saw car keys. What you thought. Rossi then looks at you and tells you to go check outside. You run outside with the keys as Rossi and Emily follow. Outside is a white Range Rover with a big red bow on the top. You run to your dad as tears flood down your face. "Thank you so much daddy" you say as you jump into his arms. "Happy birthday mi amore" he responds.
