Mommy had joined Daddy on his annual trip to Chicago for Grandma's birthday. With mommy being on maternity leave and being severely pregnant, they decided to drive up to Chicago instead. Mommy's due date was approaching but she didn't have any worries and she was getting claustrophobic in the house. We planned on staying at a hotel but after much convincing, grandma was able to convince them to stay at the house where I got to stay in Daddy's old room.

Daddy was out with his sisters while mommy and grandma both stayed at home. Grandma was sharing stories about daddy when he was my age and mommy was obsessed. You were down for your nap when you woke up and went downstairs. You found mommy with her hand on her stomach and she was laughing with Grandma. You sleepily run to her arms as she gives you a big hug, her bump always getting in the way. She gives you a quick kiss on the cheek before you walk to run to Grandma who picks you up and puts you on her lap. You rest your head on her chest as you were still sleepy.

Grandma chuckles as you nestle your head further into her chest. "Someone stayed up way past her bedtime because she was playing on daddy's phone late last night" mommy says as she gives you a look as you huff. "Mommy stop" you whine as she gives you her look again. "I think someone needs a longer nap today" she says before you scream no. Mommy stands up mad before going over and picking you up as you start screaming.

Mommy puts you on her hip as she starts to carry you upstairs. You were trying to wriggle out of her arms when she suddenly stops and groans slightly. You got scared as she gently puts you down and grandma walks over. "Emily are you okay?" she asks as your mom nods her head yes.

"It's just indigestion" she says as she rubs it off. "I don't know that sounded pretty sore" grandma say as mommy nods. "He is pretty big in there" she says as she laughs it off. "Let me go call Derek real quick" she says as Mommy tries to dismiss it before she felt another sharp pain. Grandma starts dialing right away before talking to daddy real quick. Mommy starts freaking out as she claims it was too early. Grandma grabs your sparkly slippers before picking you up and helping you and mommy into the car.

"Mommy where are we going?" You ask as Grandma starts driving. "We are driving to the hospital so we can meet your baby brother" she says as you start crying. "I don't want a baby brother" you sob as Mommy looked tired. "You know your Aunt Sarah said the same thing right before your daddy was born" Grandma says as you stop crying. "But the second he was born, Sarah wouldn't leave your daddy's side. They were best friends" she continues "really?" you ask surprised. "Oh yeah and your daddy thought aunt Sarah was the best. Just like how your brother is going to think of you" she says as you nod. Mommy whispers a thank you to Grandma as she smiles and whispers something to mommy that you couldn't hear.

Grandma pulls into the parking lot as she tries to pick you up. "I want to walk" you whine as she nods and takes your hand. You all walk into the hospital as Grandma checks you in and a nice lady starts talking to her and moves you all to a small room.

Grandma helps mommy change into a hospital gown while you take mommy's phone and start playing on it. Daddy comes charging into the room. "Daddy" you shout as you jump up and run to his arms. "Hi Baby Girl" he says as he picks you up and gives you a kiss. You were resting your head on his shoulder as he goes over to mommy and gives her a quick kiss on the lips. "Eww" you complain as Mommy smiles while Daddy starts tickling you.

You were screaming laughing as Daddy kept tickling you before mommy starts to groan. Daddy stops as he puts you down before taking Mommy's hand. Mommy was squeezing daddy's hand as he was comforting her. "Come on Princess, you got this. Keep breathing Em, I'm so proud of you"

You got scared as you started crying. Grandma scooped you up into her arms as she starts bouncing you up and down. Once Mommy relaxed Daddy took you from Grandmas arms as he started to bounce you up and down.
