                                                                                Christmas Morning

"Merry Christmas!!"

Y/N opens her eyes and looks to Lavender, standing over her bed.

She sighs. "Merry Christmas, Lavender. Now please, go back to sleep. It's too early for this."

The girl has a confused face. "It's nine o'clock."

"Oh. Sorry, it's just been so long since I got to get a full night's rest."

She smiles. "It's no worries. But come on, it's time to open gifts."

Y/N sits up. "Alright then."

In front of each of the four girls' beds was a group of presents. They all agreed the night before that they would try to sleep in because it is the holidays after all.

Y/N looks over to see Hermione and Parvati also going through the 'getting up' phase of the morning. Hermione's getting out of her bed and Parvati's brushing her hair.

"Good morning."

The two of them look to her as Lavender walks back over to her bed. "Morning."

She gets up from her bed and heads over to the vanity she shares with Hermione. Y/N brushes her hair and grabs the pearl necklace from her jewelry box.

"Have you found who sent it yet?"

Y/N looks to Hermione. "I-"

It hits her like a bat to the stomach. Did he send it? Why didn't he say anything? Was it someone else? Why would he send it if he did?

"I'm not sure."

Parvati looks over. "What do you mean you're not sure?"

She thinks hard about it. "I'm really not sure. I might have... But I may not have.."

Lavender rolls her eyes and smiles. "You are one complicated girl, Y/N. Now come on, we've all got presents to open."

"Alrighty then."

They each sit on their beds and open the presents that magically appeared while they were asleep. The presents that were sent by their parents.

The group talk to each other as they do open the gifts because otherwise it would be extremely awkward. Y/N has three gifts sitting in front of her bed.

Hermione opens a gift from her parents full of books while Y/N unwraps a gift from hers.

When she takes the wrapping paper off, Y/N finds blue necklace inside a black velvet box. It's a blue jewel pendant on a silver chain. The jewel hangs from the chain down in the middle and shines in the light of the sunrise, shining through the windows.
