Chapter 28 Leap Of Faith

Now that it's the beginning of February, everyone's getting excited for the second task. The signs are being made and the "Potter Stinks" badge is popping up again. There aren't as many as there were before because for the most part, students have gotten over what happened with the Goblet of Fire.

Y/N thinks that it's both exciting and unnerving. On one side, she's ready to see Harry compete and hopefully get closer to winning the Triwizard Tournament. However on the other side, she's scared to see what Harry will be having to do and she's still wondering what happened with the cup. It's a little better now that Harry claims to have figured out the egg. Though she's worried he lied because he didn't tell her what the clue in that screeching golden egg was.

Y/N sits down in the library, reading a letter from her mother. Sierra's now coming on to be six months pregnant and she's sent a letter to update her.

Dear Y/N,

I recently went to the hospital with your father to speak to the doctor about my pregnancy. After doing so, I'd like to let you know that all is well. I feel like I'm becoming huge, though. It's been so long since I've gone through this. There was a war going on the last time I went though this and yet I still feel like it was easier the first time around.

So now that I've gotten over with telling you that all is well, I think that it's time to tell you the big reason that I went to the doctor. As you know, in about three months, your younger sibling will be coming and that means that it was about time to find the gender of the baby. Your father and I are extremely excited to tell you that your younger sibling is..... a boy!

Well I believe that's the big thing that you'll be reading for, so I'll wrap this up. Your father and I are thinking about what names we want to use and want to hear your ideas. I hope all is well and that you're enjoying your time at Hogwarts.

Sincerely,

Mom.

As Y/N reads over that line at the end of the second paragraph, she can't help but tear up. She reads it again and again to continue feeling the emotion that it brings her.

"What're you crying for?"

She looks up to Draco and wipes her eyes. "Oh, sorry. Um, they're uh, tears of joy. Not sadness."

He looks confused. "What could be so good to bring you to tears."

It dawns on Y/N that she never even told him that her mom's pregnant. After her parents told her that they won't release the news publicly until the baby comes, she made sure not to tell anyone.
