"Alright, Miss Sparks. The final charm I want you to perform as a part of your practical exam is one we spent a class, learning about. I want you to perform the Severing Charm. Now, I want you to use this charm to put a cut right into that stuffed animal over there."
Y/N looks over to the teddy bear sitting on the desk, just four meters away from her. It's not the type of stuffed animal that one would find in a muggle toy store. It's actually looks to be a toy he bought from someone who makes them handmade. Something she'd expect to be bought in the wizarding world.
She stands there and nods her head. "Okay, Professor."
She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath and in one split second, she slices the air with her wand, swiftly. "DIFFINDO."
The class looks over to find that the charm had not only worked, but it had left a quite horrific sight. What once was a cute and comforting toy to a child, has now become headless and terrifying to a child.
Y/N looks up to see that she had cut straight through the teddy bear's non-existing neck. She smiles, having impressed even herself. Charms is a cool class, but she's never felt as much of a liking or a fondness for it. But right now, she sort of sees that it's not much different from other spells.
"Excellent, Miss Sparks."
Y/N walks out of the Charms classroom, feeling pretty confident with how it went. She nailed the majority of her practical exam, but did mess up a little with two. For one, she was supposed to use the Red sparks charm. Despite thinking it would go well, blue sparks had shot out of her wand instead of red ones. And second, when she used the exploding charm, the explosion wasn't so small. In fact it was quite the obvious. Ron had leaned over to her when it happened and suggested that maybe she'd been influenced a little too much by Seamus. He had in fact performed that charm pretty well. But what do you expect from a guy who explodes everything in sight when he uses his wand.
"Hey, you knocked that Severing Charm right out of the park."
That muggle figure of speech has immediately indicated to her who's speaking.
She turns around. "Thanks, Hermione. I've gotta say, your exploding charm was quite impressive as well."
"Thanks. Now come on, how great are you feeling now that all the pressure's lifted?"
Y/N smiles. "It feels pretty good. Did you speak to Harry this morning?"
Hermione shakes her head. "No, he wasn't at breakfast. Then again, he wouldn't have eaten if he had been. Speaking of which, where were you? Were you with Malfoy?"
She gives her friend a look. "I though we agreed that we don't mention him around each other as to avoid any arguments."
"We did, but I never mentioned any opinion I have of him. Besides, he's your boyfriend, we can't just never speak of him."
"Well we can when he's the person you dislike the least out of everyone at this school."
"Are you saying this because your avoiding my question?"
Y/N looks her in the eye. "No. I was not with him. In fact, I haven't spoken to him all week.."
Hermione looks to the side. "Why?"
She picks at the skin, surrounding her nails. "I found him with Pansy and we uh.. we fought. And he yelled and I.. flinched?"
"Flinched?"
"Well he, slammed his hands down on a railing when yelling and it.. just, happened."
Her friends tilts her head. "Well, did you think.. I mean did he scare you?"
