SAKURA's PERSPECTIVE
Haruno Residence
Konohagakure

╰────────────╯

With no return of Sasuke and the lingering disappearance of [Name], a sense of guilt was so overwhelming to her. Her eyes bore into the corner of the room, the corner she remembered [Name] had cradled in years ago after Sasuke's first fight with Naruto had abruptly happened that day. And now..? she felt alone without [Name]. Team 7 didn't feel the same without her, and there were still crosshairs to sort with Sai being a part of the team now, which didn't help Naruto's case.

[Name]'s name was truly the talk of the Village, a hushed whisper to some or a vast public ostracizing to most. It didn't help when Naruto would hear of this and defend her name, and in return get the blunt force of cruelty returned to him too. She could see it upon him, and sense it upon him, Naruto really cared for [Name], [Name] & Sasuke both.

"Sakura! you have a friend at the door..!" she heard her mom fall out from the stairs, causing the pinkette to raise an eyebrow in question as she got up from her bed. "Okay..!" was it Ino? Naruto? she wondered to herself as she made her way down to the front door, fixing her hair up a bit before she opened the door and an unreadable expression plastered her face. "Sai..?" she exasperated out, a little shocked that he was even at her door, "What are—"

"I figured we should go see Naruto?" Sai asked the Haruno, as he held a book in his hands while talking to her. That stupid literary book. She remembered back when they were originally a team, he held onto it for a while, noticing as time went he stopped carrying it with him, but it seemed to become visible again. Why? She always wondered what the hell happened back then exactly, what caused Sai to drift away so quickly out of her reality, and what exactly brought him back now.

It..was fuzzy. Anytime she tried thinking back to her first Chunin exams, a headache exploded throughout her mind as she couldn't precisely remember most of the forest at all. It all went blank upon her remembrance of being atop a tree and suddenly waking up again. "Sakura?—" the sound of Sai's voice brought her back to reality, as she flinched a bit before looking him in the eyes. He felt almost intimidated by it, as he rose an eyebrow in question to her. "Okay..." she finally responded back to his initial question, "Didn't know you were suddenly a fan of Naruto now.."

"I'm not." Sai responded back bluntly, as she was taken back by the response, "Then why do you want to go?" she then asked him, as she put on her shoes and closed the door behind her, finally outside of her house for the first time in a few days. "Because isn't that what teammates do? Even if we do or don't like each other? We're all fake aren't we?" Sai tried reasoning, as Sakura's mouth held agape for a few seconds at his statement. "I━ No..?" she questioningly said back, "What the hell happened to you.." she mumbled out, hoping he wouldn't hear it but he did in fact.
