[NAME]'s PERSPECTIVE

╰────────────╯

"Now..the fun begins..."

This is what death had to feel like.

She should've known, she had been through it several times before. But this time. It felt real. Too real to confirm nor deny.

She blinked a few times before her eyes adjusted, into what felt like paradise. An eternal paradise. It was all too quiet and bright for her as she looked around, her eyes scanning the area of what looked like above the clouds. Her hands were smaller, she felt as if her frame was smaller. Was she hallucinating, or was she a child again..?

"[Name]." But a voice erupted her thoughts, her processing. She stared at what she believed was the ground, she noticed the black sandals, the bandages wrapped just right at the start of their calf before she elicited a sudden gasp at the realization that she was ━ "Oh fuck. I'm dead..!"

He stifled a laugh, as she fully looked up, her breath catching in her throat. The figure before her was achingly familiar—messy black hair, sharp features softened by a warm, mischievous smile, and those eyes. The Sharingan wasn't active, but the faint, lingering intensity in his gaze made her stomach flip.

"Shisui..." she whispered, her voice a mix of disbelief and awe. Her heart felt like it had stopped all over again. "It can't be..." The man standing before her folded his arms, his grin widening. "Well, it sure isn't heaven if you're the one showing up here." His tone was teasing, but there was an undeniable warmth in his voice, as if he'd been waiting for this moment.

She glared at him, the faintest spark of irritation cutting through her disbelief. "Really? You're cracking jokes when I've just realized I'm dead?" Shisui shrugged, his expression turning mock-thoughtful. "Hey, death's a pretty serious gig. Gotta lighten the mood somehow." He crouched slightly, leaning closer to her. "Besides, you're not exactly new to walking the line between life and death, are you?"

Her lips parted, a sharp retort on the tip of her tongue, but it didn't come out. Instead, she sighed and looked around again, trying to process where she was. The endless expanse of clouds and soft light felt surreal, a stark contrast to the chaos she'd just left behind. Her chest ached as the memories came rushing back—Madara, the seal, the pain, the blinding light, oh the blinding light.... She hugged her knees to her chest, her voice small. "So... this is it? No second chances this time?"
