SHIKAMARU's PERSPECTIVE
Konoha Hospital

"But...I will not entirely go against you." Shikamaru had a way with words.
He sighed as he overheard [Name]'s uncle Hiashi state those words to [Name] from the other side of the door soon after he left the room. Hoping that somehow he swayed Hiashi to be lenient in his punishment against [Name] upon her return to Konohagakure. Hiashi had originally come to the hospital with the intent of disowning her from the Hyuga clan and processing an execution, as advised by the Hyuga Clan themselves.
It was another ploy from the Hyuga advisors who were still alive, as Hiashi's own intent was to speak to her and understand her motives better and go from there. He didn't want to make any haste decisions until he spoke to her, but everything that the advisors urged him to do, made things way too complicated for him to have his own mind and set of thoughts.
Shikamaru had watched as Hiashi left the room after a few minutes from when he left, watching him approach the advisors who all stood with stern looks on their faces. "Well?" one of them began, as Hiashi looked directly into their faces. "Are we freed from that stain on our legacy?" another spoke. Shikamaru let out a tsk as he heard the comments they made, clenching his fist up as he hoped Hiashi would defend his niece's name for the better.
"No. she's a part of a legacy that will never be erased from this clan as sad and gruesome as it may seem, a part of a legacy that I'm going to fix." Hiashi responded back stoically, a few looks from the advisor's face looked shocked at his comment, as the two muttered out to one another before looking at Hiashi again. "Are..you crazy!?"
"She's to be placed with a Jonin level guard until October, in a remote location owned by our clan, which will be sealed 24/7, and she is to be watched 24/7. Whereas afterward...the rest will be left up to the clan, Konohagakure and the rest of the nations to decide, collectively." Shikamaru caught onto his words rather quickly, putting the pieces together to understand the reasoning behind that exact month. It was the month she was to give birth, and also the same month the war was to begin.
It had been late January, and [Name] was still early on in her pregnancy, not even a full month precisely. Shikamaru began to wonder if what he had said to her uncle about that subject, swayed his outcome more. And he knew, if [Name] was to find out what he said that possibly swayed Hiashi's outcome, her reaction would definitely...be troublesome...
