Chapter 11

Alexs pov
As soon as my dad surprisingly left for work i decided go to my room and get ready, i looked through my wardrobe and after a few minutes i managed to find a black strapless dress, i smiled and went off to the bathroom for a shower.

When i got out i wrapped a towel around myself and then i looked in the mirror, i took out my make up and managed to cover my black eye quite well, i put on a bit of mascara and eyeliner as well. I dried my hair, combed it and just decided to leave it down. i walked into my bedroom and got changed into the dress, it was a bit short ending at my mid thigh, i stared at myself in my mirror... i looked horrible, my arms were visible and it was clear to see the cuts and scars all over my wrists. i wore some black flat shoes because my dad doesn't allow me to wear heels. i walked downstairs and took and quick look in the mirror checking that i looked decent enough.

I heard a knock on the door, i checked the time '7:50' i opened the door and saw John, he was wearing his usual leather clothes and his hair greased up into a quiff. his jaw dropped as he saw me "woah you look beautiful Alex" he said looking me up and down, i blushed
"not too bad yourself" i replied
"You ready to go love?"
"I erm... wanted to ask you if you minded me wearing this dress" he looked confused so i continued "as it doesn't have sleeves and y'know"
John finally understood what i was on about and replied "what, no of course not you look beautiful no matter what"
I smiled and he took my hand, holding it as i walked out of my house and shut the door.

We arrived at the cavern and went inside, it was quite busy but luckily we managed to get a seat.
"Do you want a drink love?" John asked me
"Erm... No" i shook my head
"Go on Alex, just one?"
I sighed "fine whatever"
John came back with two beers "i wasn't sure what you wanted so i just got you a beer, its nice though"
"Its fine" i said before having a drink of my beer, it burned the back of my throat a bit
"You'll get used to it y'know" John laughed
"How did you even get served"
"I'm kind of a regular round here, i mean like my band plays in here a lot"
"Really?! You never told me that you were in a band"
John laughed "well you'll get to see me play ina 'bout 10 minutes"

John and his band came up on the stage, Paul and Stu was in it and so were two other lads who i didn't know.
John came up to the mic "alright ladies an' gentlemen? Were the quarrymen and tonight I'm gonna be singing a song for someone in the audience"
They began playing and John started singing

"Thank you everybody an' goodnight!" John said through the mic
The crowd cheered as the band left the stage

John returned with Paul to where i was sitting, they were both sweating but i kinda found it attractive.
"Oh my gosh! You guys were great!" I said trying not to scream
"Thanks love" John said and kissed my cheek, Paul looked away
"You want another beer?" John asked me, i looked at my glass, i hadn't realised it was empty, i nodded
"Paul?" John asked, Paul agreed and then John went off to the bar.
Paul sat down opposite me, i noticed him checking me out "eyes up Paul" i said making him look straight back up to my face, he turned red as i laughed.
John came back with 3 more beers and sat down next to me, wrapping his arm around my waist.

2 drinks turned into, 3 drinks, to 4 and 5, and pretty soon i was beginning to feel tipsy, John seemed to be alright, he probably could handle the alcohol better than me as this was really my first time drinking.

Johns pov
Alex was definitely becoming drunker and drunker, i tried to tell her to drink her drinks slower but she wouldn't listen.
"Maybe you should take her home now John?" Paul said
"Nooooooo i don't wannaaaa go home" Alex slurred
"Its 10 o'clock Alex" i said to her
"I don't careeee"
"Come on Alex, I'll walk you home" i said, standing up
"Johnnnnn! One moreeee driiiink" she whined while pulling my arm
I grabbed her hand and helped her to stand up, she fell almost instantly into my arms and started giggling
"Thats what you get for getting your girlfriend drunk, instead of getting a quick shag from her, she ends up like that" Paul spat
"Fuck off" i gritted through my teeth and managed to help walk Alex through and out of the carven.

I was walking her home, holding her hand to make sure she wouldn't fall over, i checked my watch as we approached her house, it was just gone 10:45pm, her dad wouldn't be home yet. we stopped at her door, i let go of her hand and said "I-" i got interrupted as her lips pushed against mine, i kissed back, pushing her against her front door. Her hands slid down my chest and i moved mine from her waist further down. But i pulled away and stopped myself, knowing me more would of happened, she was drunk and i would be taking advantage of her.
"Bye-" she hiccuped "-John"
I helped her unlock her door and made sure she got in okay, an' then i left.
Thoughts about Alex rushed through my mind, what would of happened if i hadn't pulled away, if she wasn't drunk and if we'd never left the cavern. i can't get her out of my head.
