Raised by those who watch
stare
gawk at what you've become
embracing the you they left to rot away in the painful truths of reality
watching you waste away
why confess the truth when you barely remember your youth
why tell them about the forces trying to make you anew
bystanders watching you waste away
watching you waste all of your progress on other bystanders
your fire burning out
your essence is embraced by the truth that kisses you free
the decree your mortality is great
you are like all with morals
not a monster who has lost your humanity
they enticed the insanity
which resides within you
standing by as they watch you become the you
without the ability to feel normal
emotions that have been shut out and forbidden to be free
yet that doesn't make you or me any less mortal
staying witnessing your agony your pain
the shards of glass that slices through the palms of your hands
the soles of your feet
as you grovel for those bystandards
to strip you of this deadly embrace
you plaster glee on your face as they watch you waste away
