note: this chapter is set just after the Kanthony honeymoon. It's another steamy one, because you seemed to enjoy the last one! Don't read ahead if you are unprepared for a burn-fest.

---------------------------------------------------------------

The carriage slowly pulled away from Aubrey Hall. Kate and Anthony were heading off for a break, to spend time with Daphne and Simon for a couple of days. It had been a while since Anthony had seen the Duke - they were close friends, as were Kate and Daphne. It seemed like the perfect time to spend time together. They had not done so since before the honeymoon.

Anthony had to admit that the honeymoon had been a dream. He could not have wished for more. Every morning when he had woken up, he had gazed at his sleeping wife, her face still lightly flushed from their rigorous nighttime activities. There was no sight more beautiful than Kate after they had made love, he had decided. The only exception was during the activities, when she was crying his name out loud. He considered himself the luckiest man in England. Perhaps the luckiest in the whole world.

He glanced at her now, only to find her already looking at him with a wry smile on her face. He wondered if she knew what he was thinking. He found that his mind was always wandering off in her presence, imagining that they were alone in a different room. Unfortunately as they hadn't long returned from their honeymoon, they had been forced to spend more time with his family rather than alone, as he would have preferred. His mother had sent a stern look his way at dinner the other night when he had accidentally ignored her question; he had been distracted by Kate's gown. He had been dreaming about ripping the very same gown to pieces on the floor and flipping her onto her back, lifting her leg over his shoulder before he-

Kate cleared her throat.

Anthony jumped a little at her hand coming to rest on his thigh.

"What on earth is on your mind?" She asked, feigning concern. From the twinkle in her eye, he knew that she was aware of his devilish thoughts. "You seem awfully distracted."

He shifted in his seat. "I do not know what you mean."

Her hand moved a little higher. His breath caught in his throat as their eyes met, his body tightening under her touch.

"Oh," her voice grew deliberately quieter, in the way she knew drove him mad. "I think you do."

A low growl emerged from his throat as he pulled her onto his lap in one swift motion, one hand pulling the curtain across the carriage's window. Kate did the same to the one on her side, and grabbed his neck, pulling his face towards hers to kiss him deeply.

His hands roamed over her back, pulling the gown free from its hooks and sliding the straps over her shoulders. He did it so effortlessly, without even having to look. She would be impressed if it wasn't for the distraction of his glove-free hands on her bare skin and his tongue dancing with hers.

"How long is the ride?" She gasped, letting her forehead fall against Anthony's shoulder as his lips left a scorching trail along the side of her neck.

"Which ride, specifically?"

"Anthony!" She pulled her head back in shock to catch him smirking at her, his fingers toying with the lace at the edge of her chemise.

"I thought it was a perfectly good question."

"The carriage ride. How long do we have?" She blushed. He loved to torment her, to tease her. Perhaps it was high time for her to get her own back.

He leaned back and checked his pocketwatch. "I'd say twenty-five minutes. Maybe thirty."
