A/N:  I'll try to keep this story updated regularly.  As far as the games go, after the intro chapters, I will jump into the Resident Evil 3 Remake.  I intend to extend to other games in the series as time goes on.  For example, giving Jill and Y/N roles in Resident Evil 7 and Village.  The story will closely follow the games with some extra scenes added here or there and some changes to make Y/N fit better in the context of the story.  Also, Jill has longer hair and a leather jacket in this story.  Credit and a special thanks go to Nexus Mod authors Rain395 and SilverEzredes for the mods that were used to create this look for Jill.  The pictures at the end of the chapter will demonstrate what she looks like in this story.  Also, credit to Capcom and the Resident Evil Developers for the characters and storylines they created.    There, now I'm safe.  Also, I don't own any of the images used.  Credit goes to the original creators.  I hope you guys enjoy the story and I'm open to any constructive feedback you guys have.  Have a great day.

I sat at a desk. I wore a pair of blue jeans with a grey t-shirt and a black leather jacket. I also wore a pair of black tennis shoes. Various moving boxes were scattered around the apartment. Posters of various rock bands lined the wall next to the bed. I leaned back in my chair while finishing my to-go food container. I was facing a large board on the wall. Numerous documents and pictures were held to the board by thumbtacks with string connecting lines between them. There was a single light above which illuminated the board. A woman stood in front of the board, deep in thought.

That woman was Jill Valentine. My long-time partner in the R.P.D.'s S.T.A.R.S. She was a tall and slender woman with pale skin. She was only a little shorter than me. She wore black combat boots with a pair of black jeans. She wore a sleeveless blue shirt over a white tank top. The top button of her shirt was undone. She had a pendant with a crystal fastened around her neck. She had grown her hair out since the Mansion Incident. Her brown hair now extended down to the bottom of her neck. Her hair hung over the left side of her face, hiding her ear from view. The hair on the right side of her face didn't pass her ear, forming her styled bob cut. Her blue eyes moved rapidly as she scanned the board in front of her. Her lips were slightly parted, something she always did when she was deep in thought. Her arms were crossed as her brain was hard at work connecting dots.

I had grown to know Jill well over these past few years. We both joined S.T.A.R.S. around the same time. I was recruited out of the Army Rangers. I was chosen to join based on my adaptability and survival instincts in the field. Jill, on the other hand, also came from the Army She was a Delta Force Operator when she was recruited. We were assigned to each other as partners. Thinking about it now, Jill was probably the person I trusted the most. She had pulled my ass out of the fire countless times. We had been partners for two years when we received a new mission. National headlines were spreading about multiple mysterious cannibalistic murders that had occurred in the Suburbs of Raccoon City. We had traced the source of these murders to the Spencer Mansion in the mountains surrounding the city. S.T.A.R.S. Bravo team was dispatched to investigate. We lost contact with them in the middle of their mission. This caused our team to be sent in to find them. That resulted in what we call, "The Mansion Incident". On July 24, we made our insertion. It was a massacre. We lost almost our entire team. In the end, only six of us made it out of that hell hole. We encountered incomprehensible abominations. Our commander, Wesker, had betrayed us. He was working for the Umbrella Corporation, an international pharmaceutical company based in Raccoon City. The mansion was a front for a secret lab the corporation used. The monsters we faced were the results of a virus they created. The mission ended with Wesker's death and the mansion being destroyed.

Upon returning to the R.P.D., we started our investigation into the Umbrella Corporation. In the following days, Chief Irons disbanded S.T.A.R.S. We were furious. He said it was because we didn't have enough manpower to continue the investigation. He transferred the case to the RPD. There, the case made no progress. It was clear that something suspicious was happening behind the scenes. After our outburst, Jill and I were suspended and forced to remain in our homes. Half of the survivors of the incident left Raccoon City. Jill and I chose to remain. We harbored anger against the Umbrella Corporation. They had murdered our friends. We would do anything to take them down. The third survivor who stayed was Brad Vickers, our helicopter pilot. We worked together to continue our investigation of Umbrella.
