A/N: I know it has been a while since I've last posted.  Things have been rather hectic over the last month with work and school.  Well, I'm back.  I'll do my best to make sure another long break like that doesn't happen again.  I want to thank everyone for the incredible support you've shown my story so far.  Words cannot begin to describe how appreciative I am.  But without further ado, Y/N's journey continues...

"You think this'll work?" I asked the police chief.

"I know the city like the back of my hand, the maintenance tunnels are the best way to get the civilians to the docks. The main problem is we don't know where II Veltro has placed those creatures. We could be leading them into an ambush," Abate responded.

"I think I may have a solution for that," Vladimir chimed in.

"And what may that be?" the chief asked him.

"That drone we disabled, I'm thinking it may be connected to a network with the other drones. If we can use that to access the network, we should be able to get live mapping of the drones' locations."

"That could work. We need to act quickly. Who knows what will happen to the drone if we wait."

"We'll go check it out. Stay safe, Abate," I said to him as I turned to leave.

"You as well," he responded. We all exited out of the Chief's office. We hurried down the stairs and out the front door of the station. We exited the station and took off down the street to the right. I took the lead, forming a wedge formation while Hector and Vladimir stayed behind me. We held our weapons at the ready, scanning the intersecting roads for any kind of trouble as we ran. My attention was brought to a crackle in my earpiece.

"Overwatch to Bravo Team, do you copy, over?" Jill's voice chimed in through my radio. It had only been a few hours but it was nice to hear her voice. I moved my left hand off of my weapon and to the PTT button attached to my vest. I pressed and held the button.

"Overwatch, this is Templar. Go ahead, over," I responded over the radio.

"Sitrep, over."

"We landed at the police station and aided the officers in holding off the bioweapons. We weren't able to save all of them. After the attack, we meet with the police chief who let us in on an idea he had for the evacuations. He thinks we should be able to get the civilians out through the maintenance tunnels under the city, over."

"Copy that, give me a second to pull up the schematics, over."

"Alright, looks like the maintenance tunnels provide a clear path from the police station to the docks. That is likely your best option. We've been receiving reports of the streets being overrun, over," Jill said after a few seconds.

"Spectre thinks we can get access to II Veltro's drone network if we can pull apart the one we just shot down. Is that possible, over?" I asked her.

"It should be. Spectre should know how to set up an uplink. From there I should be able to access the network, over."

"Copy that, we'll check it out, over."

"You guys watch yourselves out there. Overwatch, over and out." I moved my hand away from the radio as we continued our trek toward the building where the drone crashed. After a few seconds, it came into view. The large building had a large hole in the side of it about halfway up. I could see flame and smoke billowing out of the hole. The smell of smoke and burning metal permeated the air. We stacked up on the front door. Hector and I stacked up on the left side of the door while Vladimir stacked up on the right. He used his sling to mount his rifle on his back. He pulled his Makarov PM pistol and held it with his left hand. He tightly gripped the door handle with his right. I nodded to Vladimir. He pulled the door open. I rushed inside with my MP5 at the ready. Hector then rushed into the room with Vladimir entering last. He shut the door behind him. It was dark in the lobby of the building. I could barely make out the shape of a reception desk. Based on the fact we weren't dead yet, we clearly were alone in the room. The building must have lost power when the attack on the city first started.
