Despite the time, there was no light to be seen in the night sky. There was an endless sea in all directions. I felt myself floating up and down with the tide. Heavy rain pounded the sea around us. I could hear the light patter of the rain hitting the roof. I looked around the small boat we sat in. Parker was manning the wheel. Jill sat next to me as she mentally prepared herself for the mission ahead. Hunk was sitting opposite us, futzing with some diving gear. He wasn't wearing any kind of mask. But he might as well have been, considering his face carried the same expressionless look as usual. For this op, there was a high chance we would have to do some swimming. We had to cut back on our loadouts so we wouldn't drown from the weight of our gear. I was wearing my usual gray cargo pants and black combat boots. I switched out my tactical belt for a standard belt and attached my drop leg pouch and holster to it. I wore a gray long-sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up. I wore my usual fingerless gloves, and watch. For a vest, I wore a black chest rig. The rig was a special design created by Quint that decreased the weight of the rig to allow operators to carry their gear on aquatic missions. My vest was filled with the magazines for my G36K and my pistol magazines for my 1911. I also carried my radio in my vest which was connected to a PTT that connected to the earpiece I wore. The PTT was mounted on the left shoulder strap of my vest. I was amazed by how little my gear felt like it weighed. Quint's work spoke for itself, even with a prototype such as this one. Of course he would use me as his guinea pig for testing new gear. Jill and Parker both wore wetsuits with their gear on top, also prototypes made by Quint. Jill's wetsuit hugged her figure tightly and was a two-tone of different blues with black gear layered on top. Her long brown hair was tied into a ponytail. Parker's wetsuit was a mix of orange and black with black gear.

I held a small device in my hands. It was a small music player that Jill had gotten me for my birthday. The player was connected to small earbuds that sat in my ears. The song I was listening to was an old Iron Maiden song which I knew very well.

"Hey, what are you listening to?" Jill asked as she tapped my shoulder.

"Huh?" I asked as I pulled the earbuds out of my ear.

"I asked what you were listening to," Jill said.

"Oh, Rime of the Ancient Mariner," I replied. She smirked at that.

"Of all songs to choose when out on a rough sea, you choose that one?"

"Hey, it gets you in the mood. Being on a ship and feeling the waves just adds to the experience." We both chuckled at that.

"Guys, you should come take a look at this," Parker said. I tucked my music player away in the storage bin of the boat. We stood up and stepped outside the boat onto the small section at the front. Hunk joined us. A breathtaking sight greeted us. There was a massive cruise ship floating on the waters. The side of the ship read, "Queen Zenobia". The large steel vessel seemed like a ghost ship. There were no lights on and the exterior was deteriorating. The ship was coated in algae and had small creatures like starfish latching onto the hull. I couldn't explain the uneasiness the sight gave me.

"Incredible, this thing is lucky to be afloat," Parker commented.

I pulled my terminal out of my pocket. I saw that this ship was the last known location of the beacon for Chris's team.

"Yup, this is it. The last location of Chris's Team's beacon is on that ship," I said to the others.

"Take us around. Let's find a boarding point," Jill said to Parker. He nodded and started moving our boat to the side of the ship. Jil, Hunk, and I moved back inside the boat as we readied our gear. I grabbed my G36K, which had been leaning against the wall next to me, and performed a brass check. I had equipped the rifle with a flashlight for this operation. When I confirmed there was a round in the chamber I moved it to my back on my sling. Jill performed a brass check on her M4 and Hunk performed one on his MP5. I looked over to Jill.
