"Luke..." Jamie, my dearest sister, mumbled in her sleep.
I tried not to laugh out loud; it would disturb her sweet dreams. But, hey, how can you ignore that cute girl? You don't even need other words to describe it; 'cute' is the right word. Anyway, Jamie Castellan is always a smart, bright girl to me, but when she is sleeping, she's 20% much cuter.
I sat on her bed, which is next to mine, and stroke her beautiful, chocolate dark brown hair. She stirred a little, but she went still again, and because I was really close to her, I could hear her soft breathing, in and out. There were lots of events these days, and there were many questions I wanted to ask. But I chose to keep them to myself, because 80% of them was about myself. The number one question was: Why am I alive? I know, I went to Elysium after my death, but what happened before I came back? I still have no idea why Hades is not chasing me to kill me in the spot.
Jamie and I both thought about that question, but she never got the answer. Because she didn't knew me well, even though I'm her brother. But we both knew that fact a couple of days ago. So, I think I need to get the answer by myself.
As I was thinking this and that, unsure of what to do next, I heard Jamie yawn.
"Luke...? Why did you wake up so early?" Jamie asked. Then she looked at my expression, which I tried to hide, but instead, failing. "Are you okay?" she asked.
"It's nothing... I am okay," I lied. Yeah, it wasn't good to lie, but I didn't want her to worry about me. Jamie tilted her head to one side, not believing me.
"Alright," she sighed after seeing my small grin. "You win."
So that's how I protected my thoughts from my best friend and also the real sister. And, as you know, there's only one person in this whole world who can actually invade my thoughts with snapping his fingers quickly. That...
My thoughts were invaded again. My body glowed, and I had to get out of here before something happens. I really didn't want something happen to Jamie.
"Luke! Where are you going?" Jamie shouted. "It's too early!"
"Nowhere!" I answered.
I burst open the cabin door. I dashed down the stairs. When I found myself on the ground, I hesitantly looked at my wrist, which was glowing gold. And that became stronger and stronger. I couldn't waste more time. I searched my pocket.
Where is it?
As the time flew, my hopeness got smaller and smaller. I just didn't have enough time. I should have listened to him. He said it was coming soon, and I didn't really believe him. After all that he did. To my family, I mean.
The golden energy coiled around my body, and I found my scythe charm bracelet in my jacket. Sighing, I put on it, before everything goes out of my hand. The angry divine energy lashed out, but the scythe charm's magic just protected me from it.
What were you thinking, those days?! Kronos yelled inside my mind.
I'm sorry. I said, though I didn't know what was wrong.
Is sorry the word for everything you caused? He asked, giving me a cold glare.
I shuddered. I'm... sorry, my Lord. I didn't really mean to do it. I said.
Then we saw Jamie Castellan running towards us. Or, just me.
Let me do it, he said. I'm better in talking than you.
So my mind went black for a second.
