When I woke up from the deep sleep, I noticed that I wasn't dead. I was lying on a bed, and I had lots of injuries. I glanced at my right, and I saw my sister moaning in pain. I tried to stand up, but I couldn't. Then I remembered my 'best-friend' Kronos.
Kronos? I asked in my mind.
No response.
Kronos... I whispered.
No response again.
Did he really go to Tartarus? Or is he just sleeping?
"Luke?" Jamie asked me, fully awake. When she saw my grim expression, she asked, "Kronos...?"
I nodded slowly, not wanting to meet Jamie's gaze. "I can't sense his presence. Every time I call him, he doesn't answer to me."
"Oh Luke..." Jamie said tearfully. I quietly wiped her tears. "He isn't dead, is he?"
"He'll never be dead, Jamie," I said firmly. "He wouldn't have left us like that."
"If he comes," my sister said, "I'll have to give my thanks to him."
I smiled. "He's the one who have to thank you," I said, my gaze drifting to the bright sun. Then I found someone in the darkness.
"You are awake," a woman said, smiling.
