"Hey, relax. She's going to be fine." I was trying to calm him down since he's been walking back and forth in front of me while we were in the hallway.
He frustratedly ruffle his hair as he sat down beside me. We heard quick footsteps coming toward us and when I look back I saw his parents with my mom.
"Oh gosh! What happened?" His mom asked.
"Inatake, ma." Levi answered.
"They're still inside, Tita. We're still waiting for the doctor to come out." I said.
"Thank you, iha. Where are your parents?" His dad asked.
"Oh. My dad went to the front desk po and my mom just went outside to call someone." I told him. Tita nod her head as she also sat beside Levi to comfort her son.
After a while, the doctor comes out and we all stand up as Levi's parents walk closer to him.
"How's my mother, doc?" Tita Mabelyn asks.
"There was a partial blockage of blood flow that is why we have to open a blocked artery." The doctor explained.
"Oh, God..."
"But don't worry, ma'am. Her surgery is successful, she is stable now." The doctor added. I held Levi's hand as I smiled at him.
Levi's dad was talking to the doctor as they both walk away.
"You can go home now, Levi. Kami na ang magbabantay kay mama." Her mom said while she also look at me and nod her head.
"Hindi ako uuwi, ma. Dito lang po ako." Levi said as hiw eyes still fixed on the door of the operation room.
"Let's just go back tomorrow, Lev. You also need to rest." I said as I rub his back gently. His gaze shifted to me and sighed. After a while, he slowly nods his head and smiles a little.
"Sige." He looked as his mom and hugged her. "Uwi po muna kami, ma, Tita. Dadalaw nalang kami bukas ni Alora." He said to my mom and Tita Mabelyn.
"Okay. Be careful on your way home. I'll just tell to your father that you already went home." She said and after that, we bid goodbyes to our mothers, and we went out of the hospital.
Levi was just silent for the whole ride. I tried to talk to him but he always answered shortly that I why I just turned my head to the window and watched the trees that we are passing by. When we arrived home, I went straight to the bathroom to do my night routine and when I come out, I saw Levi sitting on the couch.
"Hey," I said softly as I sat beside him. He glanced at me but quickly looked away. "Something's bothering you?" I asked but he just shook his head.
"Wala, iniisip ko lang si lola." He said.
"Oh. Don't worry, we will visit her tomorrow. Matulog ka na, okay? I know you're tired." I said and he nodded.
"I'm sorry." He suddenly said before he went to our room.
"For what?"
"Kasi hindi kita kinakausap kanina. Sorry, hindi lang talaga mawala sa isip ko yung nangyari ngayon." He explained.
"It's fine, Levi. I understand." I said as I smiled genuinely.
We both go inside our room after we said goodnight to each other.
**********
"KAMAHALAN!"
I almost fell off the bed when I heard a very loud scream straight into my ear.
"Fuck!" I cursed.
"Hoy! Bawal magmura, Alora! Patawarin ka nawa ni Lord."
I opened my eyes and saw Levi smiling widely at me while holding a tray. "Breakfast, kamahalan." He said.
