Chapter 12

Blake's pov

We won the first game of the series, so hopefully tonight was a sign of what's to come. Doc wanted us up early in the morning for a team meeting. So we decided to just have drinks down at the hotel bar instead of going to a club. We were having a good time I was just about to head to bed. When the waitress walked over and placed a drink in front of me.

"Wait I didn't order this." I told her

"It's from the woman in red at the bar." She said motioning to the girl I looked but I couldn't see her face. Just then my phone rang is was Mel I got up and walked away from the guys to answer it.

"Hey baby." I said

"Hey good game."

"Thanks what are you still doing up?" I asked her

"I just wanted to hear your voice I miss you." She said making me smile

"I miss you too baby, I'll be home soon." I said to her when I felt someone tap me on my shoulder I turned and saw Ciara smiling at me

"Mel let me call you back." I said quickly then hung up. I was so pissed I didn't even have time to process that I just hung up on my wife.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I snapped

"To see you silly, now I know you might be still upset about our fight but I came to support you." She said

"You are sick and you need help."

"Now Blake don't be mean, I'm trying to be there for you. I mean where Melanie as your wife she should be here for you. If you let me I would."

"Stop it I don't want you, and don't you ever talk about my wife again!"

"I'm sorry look why don't you come up stairs I'll make it up to you." She said and I just looked at her like she sprouted six heads this woman was really insane

"I'm in 610, so what do you say?" She added

"I'm not coming to your room." I told her

"Oh should I come to yours?" She smirked

"No there is nothing between us and there never will be, stay away from me and my family. You need to get some professional help." I said to her just then my phone rang, it was Mel I turned away from Ciara to answer it. While I was talking to Mel I noticed her walk away. Maybe she got the hint, I talked to Mel for a few more minutes then we hung up. I grabbed my drink and headed back to the table. I sat with the guys for another half hour, when my head started pounding. Then I started to feel light headed, I got up said bye to the team then walked to my room. I took a few minutes for me to get the door open but eventually I figured it out. I stumbled over to the bed. I thought I heard the door closing then I there was a figure standing over me

"Mel?" I slurred I couldn't really see because everything was so blurry and then everything went black.

I woke up with a pounding headache which was weird because I only had two drinks last night. I looked at the clock then realized that I only had ten minutes to be dressed and downstairs for the team meeting. I rushed and got ready and made it downstairs with only one minute to spare. I found an empty seat next to DJ

"Damn you look like shit B."

"I feel like it, I've never been this hung over before. I don't even remember drinking that much." I told him

"I don't think you did. Are you sure you're okay?" He asked me just as I was about to answer Doc started the meeting and we stopped talking. About halfway through the meeting one of the equipment managers came in. He briefly talked to Doc then came over to me.
