Chapter 27

Two weeks later

After our talk we both agreed on therapy , believe it or not Chris and Jada gave us the number, of their old therapist. We had I first appointment yesterday, and she gave us some tools to work on our communication. Blake and I have been talking a lot more, and I've been working on feeling more relaxed around him. We haven't heard anything from Ciara, I know that Deb calls Blake once a week to give him updates apparently she's due any day now. I don't really care, I've just been focusing on getting my marriage back to where it was before that crazy bitch entered our lives. Blake and I have also talked some about what would happen if the baby is his. As much as I hate the mother I wasn't going to take it out on an innocent baby, who didn't ask for any of this.

I had just got home from work I had a really long day and I just wanted to see my boys. When I got home, Blake and Nate were playing basketball in the living room and Austin was in his mamaroo watching and laughing.

"You guys better not break anything." I said walking into the room

"Mommy." Nate said coming to give me a hug

"hi my handsome boy." I said kissing his cheek

"Ew mommy." He said wiping his cheek and I laughed then let him go and he went back to playing basketball

"Hey baby." Blake said giving me a kiss

"Hey." I said wrapping my arms around him

"How was your day?" He asked

"Ugh long I spent most of the day in the clinic." I said and he nodded then kissed my head

"We should take a family trip." He said and I looked at him

"B training camp is about to start."

"I know, come to Vegas with me."

"What is Doc gonna say?" I asked

"Don't worry about it, I've been promising you a trip since Austin was born. So lets do it?"

"But the boys."

"Already taken care of. I invited our parents and they're gonna watch the boys while we have some long overdue mommy and daddy time."

"you already had this planned?"

"Surprise." He said planting a kiss on my neck.

"You are something else Mr. Griffin." I said then I kissed him he was about to respond when Austin let out a cry. We pulled apart and look at him and he was frowning

"Aw mommy's sorry." I said picking him up then kissing his little chubby cheek as he started pulling on my shirt.

"Are you hungry? Daddy didn't feed you?" I teased

"He just ate." Blake argued and I smiled

"Well he gets his appetite from you." I said sitting on the couch grabbing my nursing blanket as Blake took Austin from my arms

"Hey man those are mine, I'm just loaning them to you." He said to him and he just giggled as I rolled my eyes

"Give me my baby." I said with a laugh taking Austin from him. Once I fed and burped him he slowly fell asleep. I went and put him in his crib, we just started putting him in the nursery. It still made me a little nervous but Blake just keep telling me everything is fine. I was never a big worrier before that girl came into our lives. I kissed Austin's head then grabbed the baby monitor and headed back downstairs were Blake and Nate had finally settled down and were watching t.v. I just shook my head at my twins then I went into the kitchen and started dinner.

When the phone rang. I picked it up

"Hello?"

"Hi Melanie it's Deb."

"Hey is everything okay?" I asked

"Actually, I was calling to you guys know that Ciara is in labor." She said and I froze the day dreaded was finally here

"Oh wow okay , we'll be on our way once we get a sitter."

"It's no rush her water hasn't even broken. She just insisted I call."

"Of course she did. Well we're coming." I said then we hung up and I took a deep breath, today could go either way. We'll be free of her finally for stuck with her for the rest of our lives

"Blake." I called

"Huh?" He called back

"Come here." I called back and heard him sigh dramatically then Nate laughed as Blake walked into the kitchen.

"Yes ma'am?" He said and I rolled my eyes

"Deb just called...she's in labor." I said and he got serious

"For real this time?" He asked and I nodded

"Yeah they just got to the hospital. Deb says her water hasn't even broken yet." I said and he nodded

"Do you want me to call a sitter?" I asked and he looked at me surprised

"Your coming?" He asked and I nodded

"We're a team for better or worse right?" I said and he walked over and kissed me then hugged me tight

"I love you Mel."

"And I like you a lot Blake." i said and he laughed, then kissed my cheek. Then his phone started to ring, he looked at the caller id then hit ignore.

"Is that her?" I asked and he nodded

"Are you ready to go?" I asked him and he shook his head

"No I'm going to enjoy this wonderful dinner my beautiful, smart, sexy, hard working, wife made. Then we'll deal with her."

"You are laying it on thick." I said then kissed him.

i finished making dinner then Blake, Nate and I sat down and ate, I loved spending time with my boys. After dinner Blake cleaned up while I put Nate to bed. Once he was sleep I checked on Austin who was still sleeping soundly. Then I went back down to the kitchen, where Blake was on the phone.

"Yeah we'll be there soon. Alright thanks." He said then hung up and sighed

"Any news?" I asked

"Yeah she had the baby it's a healthy baby girl." He said and I nodded trying to prepare myself for this next stage in our lives
