Chapter 1

Finn's POV

It all started when I was a Junior in high school. I still remember the day like it was yesterday. It all started like your normal, typical day. I got out of bed to the smell of pancakes. The weekend! My Mom always cooks pancakes on Saturday, she tries to make up for the fact that my Dad is a workaholic.

I looked at the alarm clock 9:00. Great. This is way too early I thought to my self.

"Finn breakfast is ready!" my Mom called up to me.

"Coming!" I called back.

I got up, and went into the bathroom. I quickly took a shower. After drying off I threw on some jeans and a hoodie, and brushed my teeth. While my hair was still wet I combed some gel up into my hair to make it spike up in the front. Then I thundered down the stairs.

"Wow Finn you sound like a herd of elephants, and you're just one person!" my Mom exclaimed.

"I try," I replied with a smirk.

My sister Lexi already sat at the table. She rolled her eyes at my comment. We're twins. We look just like each other except she has a little longer than shoulder length brown hair. She's older by 12 seconds and uses that against me all the time. We have this kind of twin telepathy sort of thing going. We can finish each other's sentence, and know what each other is thinking. Mom and Dad say it's kinda creepy. I don't blame them if you heard people finishing another person's sentences you would think it was creepy too.

"So what do you want to do today?" Lexi asked.

"I don't know," I said.

"How about you two go to the park?" Mom suggested.

Lexi and I groaned in unison.

"Oh come on you two, you need to spend more time outside," she exclaimed, "You know, I read something-"

"FINE! We'll go, just don't lecture us." Lexi said.

After we finished our delicious breakfast of pancakes and bacon Lexi and I hopped on our bikes and started for the park. While we were riding Lexi whispered to me:

"Hey do you think we are being followed?"

I looked over my shoulder and sure enough there was a black van following us. We looked at eachother and slightly nodded our heads. We had the same idea: try to lose the van. We both suddenly swerved into an alley. I looked over my shoulder and saw the black van try to slow down but failed and drove right past the alley.

Lexi and I high fived and rode through the ally to the other side. We pulled out just in time to see the creepy black van swing around the corner.

"Oh no!" I yelled.

We started to ride as fast as we could. I looked back. The van seemed to be gaining. Darn. I looked over at Lexi and she had the same scared look as me. I had an idea.

"Brake in 3, 2, 1, NOW!" I yelled.

Lexi and I both slammed on the breaks, and the van drove quickly by us.

"YES!" We cheered.

We quickly ducked down an alley way before the van could turn around.

"Let's head home." I suggusted.

Lexi just nodded in agreement.
