Spy in the Family [MAJOR EDITING]

Chapter 7

Lexi's POV

I looked over at Finn as soon as Jeff had told us about the rope ladder. His face said it all: terrified. I remembered his dream from last night.

"It will be OK." I whispered to him.

He nodded weakly. We started to climb the ladder. When we reached the top of the ladder we stood on the platform.

"OK!" Jeff yelled up to us, "Cross the rope bridge!"

We started across. For some reason Finn insisted on going first. When we reached the half-way point ninjas appeared at both ends of the bridge.

"Fight your way across!" Jeff yelled.

We started to fight. I punched the first the ninja. I kicked the second one in the shins. I glanced behind me at Finn. He had beaten one of the ninjas and was in the process of throwing the second one over the edge of the rope bridge. I turned back and gave the third ninja a roundhouse kick to the side, which he blocked. I then followed up with a punch to the face which I got lucky and knocked him out. Then calmly Finn and I walked the rest of the way across the bridge.

"Good Job!" Jeff said as we climbed down the other rope ladder.

"See," I whispered to Finn, "That wasn't so bad was it?"

"No." he said.

"You are dismissed," Jeff said.

We ran to the elevator and got out on our floor. We ran out of the elevator and to our apartment. There wasn't anyone else there, they must be still in their training.

Finn and I decided to get something to eat. I was starving. The training took a lot out of me. We made sandwiches and sat on the couch to watch T.V. Just as our show came on the others ran through the door.

"So, how was your first day of training?" Katie asked.

"It was good!" Finn answered before me. I only nodded in agreement.

"That's good." Zach said.

They joined us on the couch.

"Oh! I love this show!" Matt yelled, "Quiet down!"

We all quieted down. We sat watching the T.V. until Matt's show was over.

"What do you guys want to do?" Lilly asked.

"Well is seems that we have been watching T.V. a ton!" I said.

All of a sudden the intercom says: "All Jr. Agents report to the Boss's office." "We had better get there fast!" Alyssa said.

We ran to the door and got jammed. We all laugh since we had done the same thing this morning. We got unstuck and ran to the elevator. We got in and swiped our cards and scanned our eyes. We rode up to the 31st floor, and ran to Dad's office.

"Hey," Dad said, "you guys are going to go on a mission."
