Chapter 7

Finn’s POV

I saw the door knob jiggling, and Lexi was sending a frantic look my direction. I kept listening to the iPod. The voices on the other end were saying the plot of the next evil plan Damien was planning. The door knob twisted and the door was flung open and there stood a man. He looked REALLY evil. He must be Damien. “Hello and Goodbye!” Damien shouted as he pulled out a gun. I looked at Lexi and we both knew what to do. We both charged at him and Lexi did a flip and kicked him in the face. He fell over clutching his nose and screaming. “You’ll never get away!” Damien maniacally laughed, “I’ve got your friends!” “No you don’t!” Lexi yelled at him. “Did he get the others?” I whispered into my ear piece. “No,” Matt said, “they are out here. We’re waiting for you guys.” I nodded to Lexi and we sprinted down the hallway. We left Damien screaming at us to come back here and let him kill us. I turned around and shot him with the stun dart from the iPod. Interestingly right after that it was quiet. We laughed and kept running. “Good job!” Lexi said. “You didn’t do too bad yourself.” I replied. We ran down the stairs and jumped out the window we came in. We ran the station where we met by the others. “What took you so long?” Katie asked. “Damien.” Lexi and I answered at the same time. The others started to giggle. We just rolled our eyes – at the same time – which made them laugh even harder. The black helicopter came and picked us up. “Do you always do that?” Lilly asked. “Do what?” we asked at the same time. “That.” Matt said. “Oh, mostly when we are excited.” we said at the same time. The others just nodded. When we reached HQ we all went into the apartment, got in bed, and slept until two the next day.

The next day I woke up to yelling in the living room. I looked at the time and saw that it was 2:30. I got up took a shower and got dressed. I went into the living room to find the others siting in a circle playing a game. “What are you playing?” I asked. “There you are sleepy head,” Lexi said, “We’re just starting a game of truth or dare. Want to join?” “Sure” I said and smiled evilly. I LOVE this game and I am a master at it. “I see someone likes this game.” Alyssa said pointing out the obvious. I nodded and joined the circle. “I’ll go first,” Katie said. “Wait! What is the punishment for forfeiting?” I asked. “How about if you lose you have to sleep in the bathroom tonight.” Lexi answered. “OK.” We all agreed. “OK Zach, truth or dare.” Katie asked. “Hmmmmm, since I know you are evil with dares, truth.” “When was the last time you ever told a lie and what?” Katie prompted. “Let me think. Last Monday and I told Alyssa that her shorts and shirt matched.” Zach said sheepishly. Alyssa looked furious. “I wore that ALL day and no wonder I was getting stares.” Alyssa yelled at Zach. “Sorry.” Zach mumbled. “My turn,” Alyssa said, “Lexi, Truth or dare.” “Dare.” She said. “I dare you to run down the hall screaming like a maniac until you get to the elevator. Then take the elevator down to the lobby and run around in circles then come back up.” Alyssa said with a evil grin on her face. Lexi nodded and left. We waited for 5 minutes then finally Lexi came back in. “Done.” She said. Alyssa looked shocked. She obviously thought that Lexi would chicken out. “Finn, truth or dare?” Lexi asked grinning like a maniac. “Dare.” I said with a smug look. Lexi’s grin just got bigger. “I dare you to go down to the lobby and hug the receptionist!” Lexi said. “Ok,” I said. I walked down the hall and rode the elevator down to the lobby. I ran over to the receptionist and gave her a hug. Then I ran back up to our apartment using the stairs. I went back in the room with a smug look on my face. Lexi just glared at me. In the end Matt, Lilly, Katie, and Cody ended up sleeping in the bathroom. Matt had to because he refused to throw his food out the window, Lilly refused to tell us who she had a crush on, Katie didn’t want to breakdance for Dad, and Cody didn’t want us to play dress-up on him. Lexi and I NEVER loose. “Good night!” I yelled into the bathroom. All I heard was mumbling about how unfair this was and I think I heard Lilly say “Get your foot out of my face.” I just smiled and went to my room. Tonight was fun. We had stopped a bad guy and played Truth or Dare all in one night. I got in bed, turned out the light, and instantly went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to screams. I jumped out of bed and ran into the living room. No one was there. The screams seemed to be coming from the bathroom, so I ran and flung open the door. I saw Lexi standing by the shower laughing and the nozzle of the shower was pointed onto the tangle of people on the bathroom floor spraying cold water. The tangle of people were screaming to turn it off. “I’m sorry-“ Lexi started. “We can’t do that!” I finished and started to crack up with Lexi. I heard a bedroom door slam. Lexi looked at me and I knew instantly what that look meant: RUN! We bolted into our rooms and started to get ready, acting like nothing happened in the bathroom involving us. I jumped into the shower, got dressed, and brushed my teeth. I walked calmly into Lexi’s room and found that she was wearing the same colors and everything. We looked at each other and burst out laughing. When the laughing finally died down to giggles Lexi asked, “So want to freak out the others?” I nodded. We walked into the living room and whatever conversation was going on stopped once we came in. They looked at us with a confused look on their face. “Did you plan that?” Cody asked. “Nope,” Lexi and I said at the same time. “What’s for breakfast?” we asked again at the same time. “This is creepy!” Katie said. “We know.” we said. “Ok, seriously stop!” Alyssa said. “Sorry,” we said, “We can’t.” We smirked. Lilly looked annoyed. “Come on!” She yelled at us. “Fine,” we said. “That doesn’t sound like stopping.” Cody said. Lexi and I burst out laughing. “We got you!” we yelled at the same time. We looked at each other and laughed again. “That was unintentional.” I said. We ate and went to training practice again. I am starting to enjoy being a spy. Maybe I spoke too soon.
