Hailey stretched, watching the boys argue over the dumbest thing.
"No, we're getting McDonald's!"
"I get to choose, Fredrick! My birthday's closer!"
"Isn't Freddie older by, like, eleven minutes?"
"When were you invited? Honestly, who invited Shawn?"
"Nick, it's his cabin."
"Who invited you?"
Hailey rolled her eyes, walking towards Rachel. She was packing everyone's bags into one car. The other was going to be used for them to sit in at night when they're around the fire or something. They never specified. As of right now, the bags were going into Shawn's car.
Hailey walked up to the beat-up truck; her arms crossed tightly in front of her. Even though it was extremely ugly, Rachel loved it, nonetheless. She claims that it has been through so much, so she didn't get rid of it.
The other car was a brand new. Shawn got it before his 16th birthday. For having it for only a year, it still looked like he bought it yesterday. "You good, Hay Hay?" Rachel asked, sticking her hands into her jean short's pockets.
Hailey rolled her eyes at the nickname but shook her head. "It's the phone call! I've been freaking out recently since it happened." She pushed herself off of the truck, locking eyes with Rachel. "Like, who would think it would be smart to say that crap! And right before we leave to go! I bet it was Kyle and Georgia messing with us-"
"Hails, you're getting too worked up over this. It was just some dumb idiot messing with you!" Rachel kissed her cheek. "Now let's go. I'm hungry."
"McDonald's?"
"Wendy's."
Hailey smirked and got into the car. Rachel flipped the boys off, Hailey waving to them, before driving off.
Shawn stared at the truck before sighing loudly. "Guys, I think they're gay for each other." Nicolas stated, running a hand through his dark red hair.
Fredrick and Shawn froze, looking at Nick. He shrugged his shoulders at them, continuing to haul the bags into the back. "I'm just saying that they're extremely close to each other. They might be, you never know!" When the other two continued to stay quiet, Nicolas panicked. "I mean, good for them if they are! I think that's super cool, switching it up a bit. Like, I totally get lesbians. Like, you know, women and all."
Fredrick chuckled quietly and shook his head. Shawn awkwardly cleared his throat. "They're not gay, Nick. They're just friends."
"If that's what we'll call them, then yeah." Nick shrugged his shoulders, closing the hood. "We ready?"
"Freddie called shotgun. Nick, that means you're in the back." Shawn clasped a hand on Nicolas's shoulder. Nicolas whined. "Stop whining, you sound like a baby."
Fredrick laughed to himself before getting in the car. "Shit, I forgot that we're in charge of snacks." The other two groaned before closing the doors.
The rules of the boys' car were simple. Whoever drove, drove the car (obviously). Shotgun picked the music. Finally, whoever sat in the back usually suggested songs, was the GPS, or kept their mouth shut. Usually, if it were Nicolas in the back, he did all three.
As they drove, Shawn felt many emotions. He didn't know if he were excited or nervous. Usually, he was excited to go to the cabin. Since he was little, he loved going into the woods and chasing imaginary animals throughout the woods. He wasn't sure why he felt nervous, but he knew it wasn't right. He felt like this single trip was going to a... roller coaster of emotions.
