"It's just the woods."

"There's nothing wrong with the woods."

That's what you'd expect to hear, right?

I'm here to tell you that it's all bullshit.

"Stop, please!" My group trembled in fear as we watched our friend, who was my sister get tortured by shadows. One hit after another, and it made their skin crawl.

Yeah, you heard me. By shadows. We don't know how they could even physically harm you, but they could.

I watched in ager, not being able to do anything yet. I had to watch my sister take beatings before doing something to help her and that's what made me mad. That's probably why she won't talk to me to this day.

The old woman stared down at me. I could tell that my body was shaking with anger, silently asking for permission from her to do something. After receiving a nod, I walked towards the large group of shadow figures, ignoring my friends shouting behind me. I told them many times to not question what I knew was right.

Singlehandedly, I defeated each and every shadow except for the main ones. There were ten or eleven, one bigger than the other.

They grimaced, dropping my sister to the ground. She let out a hurt yelp, looking up at me with tearful eyes. For some reason, I felt weaker when it came to them. I felt my legs tremble as I watched them step towards me.

"Hey!" I looked behind me, seeing my best friend wave his arms. He gulped when he noticed the dark, red eyes on him. However, he stood his ground. "Come get a piece of me!"

I ran to my sister, throwing my arms around her. "I thought you were dead!" She tensed around me, not hugging back. Shouts and cries were heard as the final battle begun.

Many punches were thrown as our two sides fought.

That night, we went to the cabin with two major deaths on our hands. My friend had to carry back his older brother... I had to carry my mom's close friend out of the hideout.

Grief filled the air. No one dared to say a word. We were all in pain. No one had known that I would be powerful enough to stop them all. I hoped that they weren't scared of me.

My friend whimpered in pain as she pulled out a notebook, holding her boyfriend's hand as he wept over his brother's dead body. My sister glared at me. "I forbid you from ever seeing me or my family in the future. When I have kids, you better not even breathe around them. If I find out that you ever, even as much as spoken to them, I will have you thrown in jail for murder and assault."

I stared at my sister, tears filling my eyes. "Han, I saved you."

"Saved me?! You did no such thing! If anything, I saved myself from a psychotic sister who has some fucking powers!" She scoffed. "I'm so happy Katie and Michael weren't here to see how much of a freak you are!"

"Can you stop yelling?" My friend muttered, clutching his brother's shirt even harder.

My sister scoffed before walking away. My friend scribbled words I had told her earlier in the day onto a sheet in the notebook. "What are we supposed to do?" Her boyfriend whispered.

"We wait until our daughter is born." She looked at the small, glass rose she picked earlier in the day and placed it on the nearby glass table.

Everyone was tense... But I would never forget how my sister spoke to me that night. I had thought, for the longest time, that she was just shaken up about what happened.

However, I am here to tell a different story, not the story of my sister and I. Though, they are very simular.

I'm here to tell the story of a different group of teenagers. One that will leave you questioning how they did what they did. One filled with despair. One that has death around every corner.

A story that will leave you shaking to the core.
