I woke up, wrapped in Colby's arms still. It was a weird and comforting feeling considering how nervous I was for today.

The banquet wasn't until the late afternoon but I had to get ready both physically and mentally.

I knew I would have to be in the background. Just there to be introduced, and nothing else.

I was so comfortable, laying with Colby's arms lazily draped around me, but I needed to get up.

I had to take a shower so I had time to do my hair.

When I got out of bed, I cried out in pain. It wasn't nearly as bad as yesterday but I was sore beyond belief.

"Sorry." Colby hummed as he scrubbed his face with his hands. "It's not okay but I'll live. When do I need to be ready?" I asked as he yawned.

"We'll leave at four. What time is it now?" He asked as I shrugged. "I don't know. You took my phone." I said then went into the bathroom.

"It's one thirty. Do what you will with that information." Colby said as my eyes widened.

"Ah, shit." I grumbled and looked in the mirror. I looked as exhausted as I felt. My body ached from how aggressive Colby has been with training.

When I took my clothes off you could see how bruised and battered I was.

There was a deep bruise on my side and one on the top of my shoulder.

I frowned then turned the water on. I had to kinda hurry considering I only had a few hours to get ready and I wanted to wash my hair.

I quickly showered, making sure to be quick but efficient.

When I got out I wrapped a towel around myself and started to blow dry my hair.

Once I was done with that I used Kat's curling wand and curled my hair, fluffing it out so it would have a little bit of volume.

We had gotten me some makeup on my little shopping spree so I had something to work with.

I decided on a gold lid with black sharp eyeliner. I wasn't the best at makeup but having Kat do my makeup the other day was really helpful.

Once I was done with that, it was already three thirty which meant it was time to get dressed.

I put on the dress, feeling immediately like a princess. It was sad that we were going to such a scary event, since I actually looked nice.

I wished that you couldn't see the bruise on my shoulder, but if I put my hair over it, it would mostly be covered.

I put on some gold heals then turned and left the room.

"Jules, you ready?" Sam asked as he knocked on my door. "Yeah." I said then opened it. "Wow! You look nice!" He said with a smile. He was wearing a black suit with a white shirt underneath.

"You do, too." I said with a smile as he led the way downstairs.

Jake, Corey, and Colby were standing in the foyer, all dressed in their best clothes.

I had to admit they cleaned up nicely.

When Colby turned around he looked me up and down before grinning with approval.

"Are we ready to kick some ass?" Jake asked as Colby pulled something out of his pocket. "Go to the car. We'll be there in a second." Colby said and handed me some sort of leather band.

"What's this?" I asked as he pulled the bottom of my dress to the side, revealing my bare thigh.

"It's a gun holster." He said as I pursed my lips. "Why would I need one of those?" I asked and looked down at it.
