The next couple weeks were very lonely and very boring.

The girls decided that we needed to have a Thanksgiving dinner since Thanksgiving was just around the corner and we had this new fancy house so we've at least been planning that.

Colby hasn't been around a lot which was normal at this point. As much as it upset me I understood that he had a lot on his shoulders.

He would be so sweet at night though when he got home. Most nights I would help him relieve his tension since he was always so fucking stressed.

Some nights he would help me with mine which I was starting to become addicted to.

Right now I was sitting in the library with a fire going. It was my favorite place in the house to just unwind.

It's been getting hard not knowing what the date was. I felt so out of the loop with the world.

My birthday was in a couple weeks but I didn't want to bring it up. I knew it was my 21st and that was huge but things were so stressful, I didn't want to add to the stress.

I never really cared much about my birthday anyways.

"Hey, Jules?" Sam asked as he poked his head into the room. "Hey, what's up?" I asked and looked up at him.

"Nate wants you to come to the office so he can check your leg out." He said as I nodded. "Oh, fun." I said then stood up, grabbing my crutches.

"Yeah, hopefully you can get that cast off." He said with a smile as we made our way to the front door.

"That would be cool. I kinda like what it looks like though." I said with a laugh and looked down at it.

I let the girls draw all over it and sign it since it was plain white and boring before.

"Hey, maybe you can keep it." Sam said then led the way to the car.

"Ooo new house decor." I said with a laugh. "We can put flowers in it." He said and helped me get in the car.

"It'll be the center piece of Thanksgiving." I said causing him to laugh. "I think the girls would veto that." He said and started driving.

"I don't know. They made it a work of art." I said and admired the annoying ass cast.

"That is true." He said with a laugh. "So you've gotten everything sorted out with the gang?" I asked and picked at my nails.

"Yeah, for the most part. It's just the beginning though." He said as I frowned. I was hoping that things would slow down a little bit but I was absolutely ridiculous for thinking that.

When we got to the office Sam brought me to the infirmary where Nate was waiting.

"Hey, Jules!" He said as I nodded. "Hey." I said then crutched over to the bed.

"Are you excited to get your leg checked out?" Nate asked as Sam left. "Oh yeah. I'm hoping the cast can come off." I said with a hopeful tone.

"It's definitely coming off, but unfortunately we will need to put a new one on." He said then grabbed the tool to take my cast off.

"I'm sick of this." I said with a sigh as he focused and started taking it off. "I know. Hopefully I can get you in a boot so you can at least walk." He explained.

"That would be amazing. My armpits are screaming." I said and looked down at my leg as he pulled the cast off.

"Ugh. That feels amazing." I groaned as the cool air hit the once trapped skin.

"It's looking good externally but let's see what's going on inside." He said then handed me a lead vest so he could take an X-ray.

They obviously didn't have a huge X-ray machine because how the fuck would they get one of those.
