Colby's POV

Julia's dad was Alexander Quill.

He was the person who scared me more than anyone else but now I had even more of a reason to be scared of him.

I didn't know what this meant for the future. I didn't know how long Julia and I would be able to be together.

I was going to fight for her though.

"Please don't leave me." Julia said quietly as she finally began to calm down. She's been hysterical for almost twenty minutes. I was starting to get more worried than I usually was about her.

I didn't want her literal heart to stop.

"I just have to talk to him, baby. If I don't he'll come find me, okay? I promise I'll come back to you." I said and kissed her head. "Let's just go inside. You're trembling." I said and rubbed her arms.

It was the middle of December so it was pretty fucking cold but with all the adrenaline I wasn't cold at all.

"I don't feel anything." Julia said with dread. "You're in shock, sweetheart. We gotta get you inside." I said then stood up, lifting her with me.

As soon as I did this, I watched her skin go pale, her eyes glazing over ever so slightly.

She was about to have a seizure.

"Shit." I whispered then got down on the ground, holding her as she seized up. I felt so helpless when she would have one, but I knew there was nothing I could do until she came back to me.

After about a minute, she went limp, her eyes cracking open.

The same fearful expression that she would have after a seizure was on her face.

"You're okay, Jules." I whispered as Sam came out again. "Colby...we really need to talk to him." He said with an almost fearful tone.

He didn't know what I knew, but if he did he would be even more scared.

"Can you get the others? Julia just had a seizure and I can't leave her alone." I said and brushed Julia's hair off of her face.

"Yeah. Bring her inside though, it's freezing." Sam said as I nodded. "We're gonna go in, Jules." I said then stood up with her in my arms.

When we got inside I set her on her feet and wrapped my arm tightly around her waist.

Right now I had to reek confidence. I had to show that I wasn't afraid and that I was going to fight for the girl I loved no matter who the opponent was.

I would have liked it if the opponent couldn't kill me with no trace left behind, but it was what was happening.

I led Julia over to where Kat, Tara, and Jake were. When we talked over Kat gasped.

"What happened?" She asked with concern as she looked at Julia.

"Just sit here and don't move." I said as Julia sat down. "I'll be right back." I said then kissed her.

I wanted to stay with her and tell her everything would be alright, but I wouldn't know if it would until I talked to her dad.

It was probably the worst way to meet my girlfriend's parents but whatever.

I looked into her eyes for just a moment. I wanted to tell her that I loved her because we haven't shared those words with eachother, but I felt like if I did I would be saying goodbye.

I wasn't leaving her though.

After a minute I turned and went into the crowd so I could face my fate.
