Joi POV

"Hello?" I answered my phone.

"Hey sis." I sat up at the sound of Josh's voice and Jamal stirred in his sleep.

" hey bro is everything okay?" He sighed.

"Brianna wasn't feeling good and she started bleeding and they took her to the hospital-" his voice cracked. " Now they are saying that she had a miscarriage and she is still unconscious and they are just not telling me enough. It's a lot going on and I am freaking the fuck out. The signs were there we have had this conversation for the last three days. She has been going through this shit for the last 4 days we went to the doctor four fucking times and they didn't know what the fuck they were talking about and now we are sitting here in The emergency room praying that she is OK when the problem could've been fixed." He started to get frustrated and I could hear the hurt and fear in his voice.

"Oh gosh- I am so sorry. We are on our way."

"Okay." He hung up.

I shook Jamal.

"Come on." He held his arms open.

"Brianna is in the hospital. Josh said that she's unconscious and they lost the baby but he doesn't really understand what's going on." I explained and he quickly hopped out the bed and we rushed getting dressed.

"Here!" He threw me one of his shirt.

It's not really his shirt it's just one of the shirts that he bought and wear around the house and spray his cologne on. I was too big for his shirts and I told him I will lose weight just to steal his shirts and he ended at doing this for me.

We hopped into the car and by the grace of god this roads were clear and we rushed to the hospital.

We pulled up and hopped out and soon as we walked in Josh was sitting there.

"What's going on?" I hugged him. "Any updates?" He shook his head.

"You guys can go in her room."

"You look tired and drained are you okay? Did you eat?" I asked. "I'll get you something from the-"

"I am fine." He lied.

"Shut up, what do you want? I'll just get you the regular." I stood up and Jamal held up his card. "Thank you."

Jamal POV

"Come on bro." I held open my arm and he stood up and hugged me and burst into tears. "It's alright." I hugged him.

" I just feel like we could've avoided all of this. We knew something was wrong that's why we kept going to the hospital and they kept and they kept saying nothing was wrong. And the things that she was saying like I would hate for her to hate herself because of the situation. She was already blaming herself and being very hard on herself. This is going to make her feel like shit. I can't sit back and watch her go through that stuff. I really love this girl."

I completely understood how you felt even though we were young. That scared me that we were so young with these strong emotions because and in a black family or just in a black environment you are taught that things like this doesn't last. But we know that it is possible because white people are raised up to marry young. So it is very possible. I completely understood him as far as how much he loved her. It hurts to see the people that you love her and there's nothing that you can do about it.

Joi walk up with some snacks and a soda.

"Here you go." He sat back down and she gave him the snacks.

"Thank you." She nodded and use her her sleeve to wipe his face carefully.

"Come on bro, everything will be okay. Where is her family?"

"In the room. Her mom told me to take a breather. I just feel like shit but I knew I was going feel like shit if this was to happen." He shook his head.

"What room?"

"308." She nodded and got up and went on her way.

"Bro y'all can't let this get y'all down. Y'all will have this opportunity again. You guys are gonna be together forever and there will be a million fucking-" he started laughing.

"You had me until that last line. A million? Damn. I was think maybe 3 or 2 but-"

"You know what I mean?"

"No, no I don't. I feel like that number was outrageous."

"Nigga shut the fuck up." He chuckled.

"I just hope she is okay. I need her you know? Who gonna love me like her. Nobody compares. I feel like because we are more closed off she doesn't feel as appreciated but that isn't the case. Other than you guys she is the only other person if not the only person I am will to go to war behind. She is my world. I can't imagine myself with no one else."

"She is gonna be alright. I can promise you that. She is gonna come out like a champ and she is going to need you. You are gonna have to be emotionally prepared for this challenge. But you got this, we got this. Bri has love from every corner and she is going to be alright."

"Hey baby." Josh's mom walked in with the family slowly following behind. "How is she?"

"We just waiting on her to wake up. We lost the baby." His mom covered her my mouth.

"Oh no." She sighed. "It's okay we will figure everything out." She instantly went into problems solving mode.

"Nurse! Nurse! She is woke." Some lady walked out of Bri's room and we all hopped up and we rushed in the room.

The nurse made her way in a little while after.

"Hello beautiful, it's good to see those beautiful eyes."

"Thank you." Bri groaned.

"I am going to check your vitals and then I am going to get you some water and some ice." Bri nodded.

she took her numbers down on the monitor.

"Okay I be right back." Bri nodded and she walked out.

"Hey baby how you doing?" Josh walked up to her.

"I am fine." He nodded. "Did we lose her?"

"Um... yeah." She nodded.

"Are you okay?" He nodded.

"Yes I am fine, I am just so happy your are okay."

"Me too." She looked around the room and sent us a slight smile. "Hey."

"Hey."

"Wussup." I spoke and they all look at me. "What I do?"

"You couldn't just say hey." She laughed.

"I am a man what I look like saying hey." They laughed.
