"Okay. I wanna run through it one more time." Nancy sighed.
The remaining of the group had parked in the woods near the trailer park, it had gotten dark. Somewhere in the distance an owl howled, everyone was anxious and waited for Nancy to go over the plan again.
"Phase one."
"We meet Erica at the playground." Robin said. "She'll signal Max and Lucas when we're ready."
"Phase two." Nancy sighed again.
"Max baits Vecna." Steve said.
Julia sighed. "Safely."
"Safely." Steve agreed before continuing. "He'll go after her, which'll put him in his trance."
"Phase three?"
"We will draw the bats away." Dustin said.
Eddie grinned and high-fived the boy before they continued to listen.
"Four."
"We head into Vecna's newly bat-free lair and..." Robin spoke as she shook one of the homemade bombs. "...flambé."
Nancy nodded and swallowed. "Nobody moves on to the next phase until we've all copied. Nobody deviates from the plan, no matter what. Got it?"
"Got it." The five remaining answered.
They grabbed their stuff and got ready to go. One by one they exited the trailer, they walked trough the woods to the trailer park, to Eddie's trailer. They had their spears, shields, guns, axes, bats and homemade bombs in hand and were ready for battle.
There were some sounds in the distance and in order not to look suspicious near a murder site, Steve, who walked up front made a run for it. The group quickly followed his example and ran towards Eddie's trailer. Steve opened the door and turned on the lights inside. He trew his backpack on the ground while the rest of the team entered the rooms as well.
On the ceiling still laid the gate, the fact that it still looked the same was both concerning and weirdly comforting.
"Be careful." Dustin said to Steve.
"Thanks, buddy." He answered as he took a hold of the robe. "Here goes nothing." He muttered before climbing up the robe.
Steve had quickly reached the gate and climbed through, surprisingly, with little to no hesitation. When he climbed through he spun his body weight around, since he was now going head first. He held the robe tightly and let his legs fall down.
He landed on his feet on the ground, Steve proudly looked up to the hole. He tried to play it cool but it was pretty clear he was proud of himself by not falling on his ass.
"Wow..." Robin muttered sarcastically. "What does he want us to do, applaud?" She grinned to Nancy who shook her head at in agreement.
Steve went to get the 'Upside Down' mattress from Eddie room and quickly returned with it and plopped it down on the floor underneath the gate.
"All right." He sighed. "Let's go."
Nancy was next, she took off her backpack and took a hold of the robe, Robin got on one knee and gave Nancy a hand. She quickly climbed up and before she knew it, she fell through the hole and landed on the mattress.
"Gotcha." Steve said as he pulled her off the mattress.
Next Julia, Eddie, Robin and Dustin threw some of the weapons, and backpack up through the hole, all of which safely landed on the mattress. Not long after Robin climbed up the robe and fell through the gate with a yelp.
