Chapter 34

A/N: Hey guys! I am sooo sorry for not updating in a couple of weeks! I tried to post a chapter before I left on my trip to Christchurch but it didn't work and I had no Wi-Fi or internet on my laptop so I couldn't post a chapter. I am truly sorry, and the first thing I did since I got back was post another chapter. I will try to post an extra chapter for making you guys wait and miss a chapter but I make no promises because I am tired. I hope that's all now lets get onto the chapter!

M-21's POV

As we all landed on the ground, we all looked at y/n to see if she was alright, only to see that she had a really big hand-shaped bruise on her neck. After seeing the bruise, everyone frowned and started thinking about the fact that if we had possibly come a little bit faster than we might have been able to save her from getting hurt, but we were all too slow. But at least now we have her with us and that's all that matters, so now we can all go home and y/n can heal up and sleep.

As we were all running back home at a steady pace I realised that one of us was missing, so that means that someone had stayed behind but I don't know who. I looked around closely and made sure to see if everyone was here, but I stopped when I realised that the noblesse was nowhere to be seen. I was about to go back and see if he was alright but before I could turn around and head back to look for him and see if he was alright Frankenstein shot me a look that said 'leave it, he will come back when he wishes, but right now, leave him alone or you go through me'. 'That was one scary and detailed look' I thought as I decided to keep my head down and continue running home.

We all eventually got home and by then y/n was already fast asleep. A couple of us had some cuts or bruises but they would all heal in no time, but we weren't sure about y/n so to make sure y/n healed, Frankenstein put some healing cream on her bruise which should make it heal and go away overnight. Frankenstein said that everyone has had a stressful couple of days and that we should all go to bed and get some decent sleep. He mentioned that we would all talk in the morning, hopefully with y/n being awake and present.

After everyone else left I made sure to go in and check on y/n one more time before I went off to my room to sleep but as I went in to check on her I noticed that she was moving around and scratching at her throat, she must be having a nightmare. I quickly pulled her hands away to stop her before she hurt herself and then I pulled her into a hug as she began to slowly but surely calm down as her breathing evened out and she was fast asleep. I took off my shoes and jacket before lifting the covers and getting in the bed as well to give her cuddles and I felt her wrap her arms around me before I fully fell asleep with a smile on my face.

Y/n's POV (She woke up after M-21 had already left her room)

When I woke up I was already laying in bed and my neck was a lot less sore than it had been before, but then I shot up as I realised that I was back in my bed back at the 'home' I had been living in before I left. I soon felt water droplets hitting my hand as I felt my face and realised that I had been crying, why was I crying? I thought back on what I had done before and I was sad that my attempt to keep these people safe failed, and now I was right back here.

I had been too deep in my thoughts to realise that someone else had entered the room and was making their way over to me, by the time I realised that someone else was there the person was already standing right next to me and they began talking.

"How are you feeling y/n? Is Frankenstein's medicine working?" Seira asked me and I merely nodded back, not trusting my voice in the moment. She looked at me before she questioned me again.

"Then why are you crying, y/n?" She asked me and I realised that she could see me with tears running down my face, I tried to do the quickest thing I could think of which was turning invisible, but it did nothing as Seira already knew where I was so she leaned over and gave me a hug and I hugged back, happy to be here even if they might be in danger. 'I'll just have to learn how to save them', I thought as I smiled to myself.

Seira asked me a few more questions and I answered them to the best of my abilities, and once she asked them all she left me alone in my room with my thoughts. I kept replaying what happened yesterday over and over again in my mind, trying to figure out what happened and how I got saved or caught, then I had a thought that the others might also have powers. I have to ask them when someone else comes in, I need to find out the truth and find out what they are hiding from me.

I sat by myself in silence for a little while longer before the door opened and in walked the trio. I smiled at seeing them again and they smiled back before Tao ran over to me and began quickly asking how I was feeling and what I was thinking for running away. I was getting overloaded and Takeo must have noticed as he came over and tried to get Tao to move away and give me space to breathe which I was thankful for.

"I have a question" I started which got the trio's attention.

"Yeah, what is it y/n?" Tao asked in his happy voice.

"Do you guys have... powers?" I asked worriedly and almost instantly everyone's faces dropped, which in turn also made my face drop.

"What's wrong??" I asked, scared I upset them which is something I don't like to do.

"Nothing y/n, but to answer your question, yes we do all have powers" M-21 replied. And at that moment, my world stopped. Everyone looked at me more worried than before and I just couldn't think, I didn't know how to process the information I just got told. I mean yeah, sure, I did have my own theories about them having powers but I didn't expect it to be true.
