When James was a month old Effie and Monty decided it was time for his christening and he was going to be christened in the church of England with his godfather's being Marcle and Henry and his godmother being Penleope.

The event was going to be huge, there were about twenty five people present which is a lot for a christening, James was dressed nicely and so was Mary who was the second youngest person there.

The christing went very well and neither James or Mary cried once which was very good as that was what they were hoping for.

James grew accustom to his new life very quickly, and he was everywhere at once or that was what it felt like to his godparents, parents, grandparents and grandparents as he would not stay still and he was in and out of a room in rapid fire by the time that he was five months old he was already having aciendatanle magic though these only happened when he was feeling very passionate about something and he has managed to say ma, pa, mama, papa, Mare mare, ye and no.

Fleamont and euphemia were ecstatic about it that their little baby was learning well and fast, but more than that he james is going to hogwarts in 1971 they were more than ecstatic about that as they were worried that because of their age and the fact that both lines have had a squib or two that it was going to pass on to James but luckily it didn't.

October came by and on the 18th of October was 'Mare mare's' birthday which James was invited to in fact 'Jame jam'

October also meant halloween so this meant chocolates and lollies, the event was held at Mary's house for a change but it was still amazing.

Then there was December and James' first Christmas was spent separately for a change instead of the two families merging. James was given a little broomstick which he adored, even though it only flew five feet off the ground. The Christmas lunch was when guests started to arrive and of course James' godparent's were there and they brought James gifts as well.

Penleope gave him a handsome little wrist watch that's waterproof and grows with James wrist size, the watch was crystallised with sapphire on the back, with the roman numerals and stars sparkling in a very elegant silver, the watch sat on a leather strap and it also showed the moon phase which was also in a very elegant sliver none of it James understood, yet but he waved it around and showed everyone his 'wistwash' as he called it.

Marcle's gift to James was one that he won't be able to use for a couple of years but James was allowed to look at it as much as he wanted, inside a glass case was the prettiest pocket knife that the people present had ever seen. It was silver with three dragon necks and heads embroidered into it two of them weilding fire, on the back of the knife the word 'James' was engraved into it with gold lettering in the most fanciest, elegant and sophisticated. and when the blade extended out you could see the silver shimmering in the light, he blade also had engraving on it, there was mainly lines and swirls to it with a few little J's here and there, everything about the blade made it look extremely sharp and hypnotising, it really was a masterpiece to gaze upon.

Henry's gift to James was a family heirloom it had been passed down from their oldest family member they knew, Richard Pervell the first, who passed it on to his grandson at his christening who then passed it onto his grandson-in-law at his marriage which eventually ended up coming to Henry for his eighteenth and than to James for his first christmas. The compass was secured in a brown leather case, with the inside of the top of it engraved with the words 'live your life by a compass, not a clock.' Everyone found this ironic considering Penleope's gift to James was a watch. Once closed the top of the case had a picture of a mountain engraved into it, along with part of the compass on the bottom of the case was the more sentimental part though, it had all the past owners initials engraved onto it. In the centre there was R.P.II which stood for 'Richard Pervell the first' and around it, spiralling out is a very sposhitacted ripple effect as every other owners entials with the newest addition being J.F.P.
