Author's note: I tried writing very differently than is usually do in this chapter. I tried to go all out with the scenery more so than the dialog between characters. Not sure how I feel about it, lemme know what you think <3 // Goose↬↝∗✶✾✶∗↜↫ ↬↝∗✶ ✽✿✽ ✶∗↜↫ ↬↝∗✶✾✶∗↜↫

❝When boys are just eleven
They begin to grow in height
At a fast rate than they have ever done before
They develop curiosity and start to fantasise
About things they have never
thought of doing before❞

The grand living room of Potter Manor was a blend of old-world charm and modern comfort. Rich mahogany bookshelves lined the walls, filled with volumes on magic and history. A roaring fire crackled in the grand fireplace, casting a warm glow over the room. The scent of pine and freshly baked gingerbread filled the air, enhancing the festive atmosphere. It had been especially chilly this early winter. James couldn't remember the last time their garden had been coated in so much snow, perhaps it never had.
"OI, GET OVER HERE James! It's live!" It was Sirius Black's loud, silky voice that rang out throughout the Potter Manor."I've told you already!" James shouted back, "watch your stupid show with Rem! He likes it!"
"But Remus is sleeping!"
"Well I was." Remus' voice could be heard from inside of the room him and Sirius shared.
The manor had many rooms, more than enough for each of them to get their own. But Sirius Black hated sleeping by himself. It reminded him of his time at Grimmauld Place, a place of loneliness and isolation. He didn't like silence, everyone could caught wind of that fact, even from just spending even a minute in his presence. He felt uncomfortable in silence, lonely even.
So him and James shared a room. It had taken some getting used to for the Potter heir. Growing up in a palace with his own everything, and then suddenly having his best friend move in permanently had been quite a journey to say the least. The most evident change had been the sharing. There would no longer be just James now for his parents to spoil and care for. It was now James and Sirius. Sirius and James.
It had been a challenge for James at first. Not to share things and a room per se . . . although that too could prove to be annoying at times. No, it more so had to do with the fact that James now had to share his parents.
