Chapter 15 Kazume

I look down to see a paper in front of me with a name on it.

"Oh my... My little girl's a genius!!" A familiar woman's voice rang out causing me to look over to see the woman with long dark purple hair and brown eyes. "There's no doubt in my mind this woman and that woman I saw before, even though she had much shorter hair are the same person." I think as I smiled up at her.

"Did, I do good Mommy?" I ask causing her to nod with a bright smile. "I believe Shiki called her Chizome, but how did they know each other?" I wonder.

"Yes!!" Chizome chirps as she looks over at the paper causing me to follow suit. Looking closer I see two words written on the paper. "Tsubaki... Kamura, so this is my full name, huh?" I wonder as I feel something wet hit my face causing me to look up.

"Momma?" I question as I look up to see tears falling down her face.

"Did I upset you?!" I exclaim with a worried expression, but she quickly shakes her head.

"No, no Tsubaki... You're just getting so big." Chizome insists as she begins wiping her face, but I then grab one of her hands and put on a serious expression.

"Don't worry Mommy, no matter how big I get I'll always be with you!" I proclaim, but then my vision goes black. "She didn't seem like a person to throw away her child, but people can change..." I think as my eyes flutter open to see a pair of purple eyes staring back at me.

"You're awake." Fuyuko declares with a numb expression causing me to sit up, but I'm then embraced.

"I'm so glad!" Sozo chirps as she clung to me and I glance over to see Hatsu with a worried expression.

"What happened?" I ask, but Fuyuko then pulls out a tiny hammer that then grows super big and drops it on my head causing Sozo to back away from me.

"Ow what the-"

"You didn't go to the restroom, did you?" Fuyuko asks interrupting me causing me to put on a confused expression, while grabbing my aching head.

"Principle Shiki said he had found you in the forest unconscious." Sozo adds causing me to look down at the blanket. "Oh you know the Mom that abandoned me just suddenly appeared in front of me and Shiki, who has a connection with her made her throw a smoke bomb and disappear." I think, but Hatsu then clears his throat causing us to look over at him.

"Tsubaki, could you... have gotten lost?" Hatsu questions causing my eyes to narrow at him, but I then sigh.

"Yeah... I didn't want to say anything, but I was looking around for the bathroom and got lost." I respond, but Sozo then lifts her hand slightly.

"Why were you unconscious though?" Sozo asks causing to glance away and over to the window to see the sun was nearly down. "Oh shit, didn't Reo say Rin would be coming to get me... I need to start getting ready, but first I need to get them to leave." I think as I let out a sigh.

"Actually, it was caused by my Alice." I answer causing all there eyes to widen.

"What?!" They all chorus and I nod.

"I've never told anybody this, but sometimes my body doesn't make enough of blood so I have to use my Alice to circulate my blood or I start feeling anemic." I point out causing them all to stare at me.

"It would happen a lot when I lived on the streets since I wasn't able to eat as much as I do now... So it was easier to tell when it was happening." I add causing them all to look at each other with worried expressions. "I'm technically not lying since it actually does happen, one of the major flaws having this Alice." I think, but Fuyuko turns to me.

"Are you hungry?" Fuyuko questions causing me to chuckle.

"No, I'm fine." I respond, but Sozo then grabs my hands.

"Don't hesitate to eat in the future okay?!" Sozo exclaims causing me to nod with a giggle.

"Alright, anyways shouldn't you three be getting to your rooms. Yall don't wanna be tired for Imai Sensei's pop quiz tomorrow, right?" I ask causing a chill all to run up their backs.

"Y-yeah... I completely forgot." Hatsu answers as their faces turned horrified. "I didn't want to bring that up, but that's the only thing I can think of for them to leave sooner." I think feeling a chill to run up my own spine.

"I know there usually not a grade, but even I have trouble with them." Sozo states, but Fuyuko narrows her eyes at me.

"You usually don't bring up school stuff." Fuyuko declares causing me to tense up a bit.

"Fuyuko, don't grill her plus she's right." Hatsu insists.

"Yeah, she's needs rest too." Sozo adds causing Fuyuko to sigh.

"Alright, get better." Fuyuko demands as she and the others begin walking to the door.

"Goodnight." They chorus and I nod causing them all to walk out the door. Quickly, I look over at the window to see it was completely dark outside causing me to jump out of bed and begin rushing around the room grabbing things I think I'll need. "I better hurry he's probably already waiting..." I think as I open the window to see the big tree by Kazume's window.

"I can't go out the front entrance so I'll just have to use the tree like Kazume does." I think as I get outside the window and begin to shimmy over to Kazume's, once over to it I stand up and jump over to the tree branch and grab it. I let out a sigh of relief and begin to climb down, making it down I then hear something rustle behind me.

"Took you long enough... I swear how long were you going to make me wait?!" A voice rings out from behind me, which makes me turn to see Rin and I roll my eyes.

"I couldn't help it, now shut up and just lead the way." I counter causing him to glare at me.

"Don't order me around you little- whatever let's go." Rin re-counters as he turns and begins walking. We began to walk a little ways, when I feel myself becoming anxious. "I hope their not playing me." I think as I glare at Rin's back, but then he stops in his tracks.

"I knew you'd come." A sly voice rings out as I see Reo step out from a tree causing me to shift my glare to him.

"Yeah, now tell me where Kazume is." I insist causing a smirk to spread across Reo's face, however something then jumped down from the tree causing us all to look over.

"You really don't listen do you, Tsubaki?" They ask as I narrow my eyes to see a gray beanie and I gasp.

"Koga, what are you doing here?" I question, while he stands up and glares over at Rin.

"This guy had been watching you since this morning, so when you left with you're friends I saw him trying to follow you. Instead of letting him I made him tell me what the hell was going on... So you really want to go after Kazume?" Koga ask causing a determined expression to appear on my face.

"Yes." I answer causing him to sigh, while rubbing his beanie on his head. "I'm going no matter what, so please don't try to stop me." I think as I stared at Koga with a unwavering expression.

"Fine, then I'm going too!" Koga proclaims as he turns to Reo, who puts on an annoyed expression.

"Whatever, more the merrier I guess..." Reo trails off, but then look over at me.

"We received a report of a man with dark hair, who was wielding flames so we sent Kazume to go confirm it." Reo informs causing me to glance over to see Koga completely stunned.

"W-wait, you mean... You had go see whether the man was his father, or not?" Koga questions and Reo nods causing my eyes to slightly widen.

"No body would have been able stop that kid from going on this mission." Rin jibed causing me to glare over at him.

"Go on." I egged him on, but he glance away with a slight uncomfortable expression.

"Anyway, we haven't received a sign or word from him. We want you two to go figure out what happened." Roe explains as he pointed between me and Koga. "I will find you Kazume." I think as I clench my hand into a fist.
