Chapter 17 My Alice?

Opening up my eyes, I sit up to see I was asleep on a couch. "Where am I and where's Koga?" I wonder as I look around the lightly dim room, but I spot what looks like bars on the other side of the room.

"Did they put me in a cell?" I ask as I get up, but notice I wasn't one in the cell as I saw some doors, a desk and the couch I was laying on. Suddenly I begin to hear rusting causing me to look over at the cell to see someone was sleeping in the bed on the other side of the bars causing me to rush over to the them.

"Koga, is that you?!" I exclaim causing the bed sheets to rustle again, but an unfamiliar woman poked her head out from the covers.

"Um, who are you?" The woman asks with a weak sounding voice as if she was sick.

"I'm Tsubaki, sorry if I startled you... But, who are you and why are you in there?" I questions causing the woman to smile shyly as she slowly lifted up off the bed to reveal her frail-looking pale body.

"It's nice to meet you, Tsubaki. I'm Mikan and, um... I'm kinda being held prisoner." Mikan responds, while holding her hand behind her head with a slight chuckle. "Being held prisoner... Wait could she be...?" I wonder as I then clear my throat.

"Um, could you be Kazume's Mother by any chance?" I ask causing her eyes to widen as she began walking over to the bars.

"You know Kazu? Wait that uniform... You're an Alice? Why are you here-" Mikan was cut off by a coughing fit and falls to the ground.

"Are you okay?!" I exclaim with a worried expression, but she wasn't moving or responding. "Damn it, does she have an illness or something?! No, right now I need to get in there and help her!" I think as I begin rushing around the room and finally find a set of keys in one of the drawers of the desk in the room.

"Miss Mikan, I'm coming!" I call out as I rush back over to the cell door and begin trying each key till finally one works and I rush over to Mikan.

"Miss Mikan, please wake up." I pleads as I slightly shake her, causing her eyes to slightly open and she smiles up at me.

"O-oh, sorry I just got a little worked up..." Mikan trails off as I help her sit up from the ground. "She must be really sick." I think as I help her over to the bed.

"Yes, I'm an Alice. I was sent by the Academy to find Kazume and bring him back, but I was caught in the process." I state causing Mikan to put on a worried expression.

(To Koga)

Sitting up from where he was laying, he immediately lays back down after hitting his head on something.

"What the hell?!" Koga exclaims as he rolls over and sits up to see he had been under a bed and then looks around to see bars around him.

"Don't tell me they sent you to rescue me?" Kazume's voice rings out causing Koga to stand up and walk over to see Kazume in the cell across form him.

"Yeah they sent Tsubaki and me, but we were both captured in the process..." Koga trails off as he looks around, but there was no sight of her.

"I told her not to come after me that idiot!" Kazume curses causing Koga to scoff.

"We're both here so suck it up, but it doesn't seem like she's in here with us." Koga point out causing Kazume to scoff.

"They probably have her where they stashed my Mom..." Kazume trails off causing Koga's eyes to widen.

"So you're parents really are here?" Koga asks causing Kazume to nod.

"Yeah, I haven't seen them, but I've heard them mentioned several times. These bastard have been using my Mom to get my Dad to do their dirty work." Kazume answers with an angry expression.
