Wednesday
It was troop night meaning that the Fireflies were round. Shane decided that he would teach the girls kung-fun so that they were able to protect themselves from bullies and make sure that those boys didn't bother them again. Kat was sat with Tyler, watching Tyler as he played so that she knows he wouldn't hurt himself. Looking over at the Fireflies she watched Shane's muscles ripple under his shirt. After he beat up Murney, the man slightly taller than him and no doubt heavier, with ease; Kat had even more appreciation for Shane's muscles.

Thursday
After school Shane dropped everyone off at the house and went back out with Zoe to practice her driving skills. While the pair were gone Kat started on the set for The Sound of Music as Seth practiced his lines, Lulu practiced her kung-fu, Peter watched TV and Tyler played in his little play pen.

Friday
Shane left Zoe in charge of the younger Plummer kids as he, Kat and Seth went to where the show would be. Seth practiced while Shane admired the view of his girlfriend's backside as she painted the set, under the guise of watching Seth. After Seth had completed his current number, he realised Shane didn't have any pointers only to see his sister in the corner of his eye.
"Hey Kat?" Asked Seth. "Did you know that you're distracting our producer with your ass?"
"Am I?" She asked turning around, only to see Shane staring right at her. She blushed and mumbled an apology.
They did the number again and this time Shane payed attention and gave feedback on what they did well and what they could improve on.
Later in the evening Shane sat outside with Kat in his lap, the two making out while Garry the duck sat on the other deck chair.
"You're very distracting," Shane sighed, as he felt Kat begin to kiss his neck.
"Oh yeah?" She asked brushing her lips against his skin.
"Yeah, Rin. Yeah" he replied and flipped them over. Squeezing her thigh and claiming her lips with gentle passion filled movements.

Saturday
The Fireflies were at the house training in kung-fu again. The girls were improving quickly and could do all the movements perfectly. They just had to work on their speed and strength for them to be more efficient.

Sunday
Shane was at practice for the Sound of Music with Seth, Kat having to be left at home so that she didn't distract him. He didn't understand why she couldn't come, but she did motivate him to do things quicker and more efficiently than last time.

Monday
Shane was rushing though Lulus school, he had left the other kids with Kat and didn't want to be away for too long. He found the source of the beeping and opened the classroom door rolling in.
"See? But he usually breaks down the door," Lulu gave him a thumbs up. "You can go back to Kat now, I reckon she misses you already." Shane just sighed at Lulu's antics and left the school. Lulu had interrupted a very heated make out session just so that she could prove a point.

Tuesday
Shane was explaining where the nuns had to do during the production and why while Kat was putting together some buildings for the set.

Wednesday
The Fireflies were back at it and could throw punches that hurt and were quick so they couldn't get punched back. Shane was proud with his work. He made these timid girls strong and confident so they won't get hurt.

Thursday
Seth was back at rehearsals and Shane was pleased with how everything was coming along and the company hardly got their lines or moves wrong. The production would definitely do well.

Friday
Zoe was finally able to do the entire track Shane had set out for her without hitting any cones.
"Excellent. Now do it backwards." Zoe nodded and went to do the course again.

When Shane and Zoe got back to the house dinner was ready.
"Great timing!" Kat said from the kitchen, balancing Tyler on her hip. "Zoe can you go get Seth, Lulu and Peter from upstairs and Shane can you put Tyler in his high chair for me?" The two people completed their said jobs and they all ate dinner together, talking about their accomplishments.
Shane was putting Peter and Tyler to bed and Kat watched how they interacted.

"Again!" Peter giggled after watching Shane do the Peter Panda dance.
"Again?" Smiled Shane. "You're going to sleep. Goodnight Peter Panda."
"Goodnight Daddy!" Peter grinned at Shane. Shane looked back to Kat who looked like she would cry and burst with joy at the same time.
"Goodnight little fella," Shane tucked Peter in and left with Kat.

When they left the room she immediately wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.
"That was so adorable!" She squealed. "I love to see you do things like that."
"Rin. Rin. Calm down. Okay? But I feel kinda bad. I don't want to replace your father in that way," Shane looked away as he finished what he was saying.
"Shane look at me," Kat turned Shane's head so he was looking at her. "Peter adores you, I adore you, we all adore you. You'll never replace our Dad because one you are not old enough to be our dad. And two because you're Shane, not our Dad. And I think that's what everyone needs." Shane kissed Kat in appreciation.
"Let's go to bed. We've got the Fireflies tomorrow," Shane suggested. Kat nodded and the two snuggled up in bed.

Saturday
Shane, Kat, Peter and Tyler were doing the shopping, when Shane spotted that the Fireflies were beating up the boys from the last time they tried to sell cookies. One look from Kat and Shane and the two of them payed for everything and were out of Costco's doors going to see what he had created.
"From now on you do things our way, no highway option!" Lulu shouted at the tied up boys. Shane was shocked and slightly confused, while Kat stood there proudly, those boys had been mean to her sister and the Fireflies for far too long. It was about time they were put in their place.

After a busy day, Shane and Kat were making sure that everyone was going to bed. They got to Zoe's door only to see her sat on her balcony wall.
"Zoe, a rookie sniper, could drop you like a deer."
"Good" she said to Shane, eyes red and wet with tears.
"Good? Is this about Scott?" Asked Kat. Zoe shook her head straight away.
"No, you were right about him, about me. I broke it off with him a while back."
"So what's wrong?" Shane asked.
Zoe just shook her head unconvincingly.
"Nothing? Okay," Shane wrapped his arms around Kat and balanced his chin on top of her head. "When I was little my Mom left, my Dad was a spec ops soldier, like me. When I was 8 he shipped me off to military school. I guess he liked being a soldier more than he liked being a Dad. One day I get a letter, no more Dad."
"That's terrible," Zoe said.
"The thing is, for a long time I thought that I'd I talked about it then I was letting him down. Like I was supposed to be brave or something."
Zoe nodded in agreement.
"It's okay to talk about your Dad Zoe."
"I do miss him. So much. I don't know, I just want to be strong for Lulu and Tyler and Peter and Seth and My Mom and Kat."
"That's such a big burden to carry."
"I just pushed everyone away and I made Kat think I hated her. God I'm a terrible sister. But I miss him I miss him so much." Zoe started sobbing so Shane and Kat both embraced her. A phone rang breaking up the small group hug.
"Zoe, it's okay to talk about these things. I'm the eldest okay? I know you want to help, but if it hurts talk to someone even if they're not family everyone needs to vent. Okay?" Kat said gripping Zoe's shoulders. Her sister nodded and the two embraced again.

"Really?" Zoe asked Shane not believing the words that had been said after he got off the phone.
"Seth! Seth! Guess what? Mom's coming home!"
"What? When?"
"Tomorrow. She's coming home tomorrow! Peter Mommy's coming home!"
"Yeah buddy, Mom's coming home!"
"Lulu! Mom's coming home!"
"She is?"
The four Plummer kids gathered in the hall embraced and started talking about what they could do for their Mom. Kat just leaned against Shane savouring his warmth and comfort.
"I don't want her to come home," Kat said to Shane.
"Why's that?" He asked looking down at the shorter girl.
"It means that you have to go," she said tearing up. "And I don't want-" Shane shut her up by kissing her. He hooked his arms around her waist and gently stroked her back while she tilted her head to deepen the kiss further.
"We knew this would eventually happen. Just remember what I said, about asking."
