Yennisse's apartment was very glamorous, white, airy, and roomy. It was stylish and in excellent taste. Very modern and up to date, it was certainly one of the nicer places to live in the city. The morning looked especially bright and wonderful the way the sun shone through the windows, cheerfully singing their way into the apartment.

Yennisse herself was gorgeous, with wavy dark brown hair, playful brown eyes, and smooth skin. She was wearing a cream cardigan over a white tank top, tan brown pink and white plaid pants with gold glitter, and gold and cream white socks. Her wings were light brown with gold-speckled glitter. She was holding a Snickers bar and a water bottle. Hungarian pop music played softly in the background. Civic noticed her iPod was on a speaker set, the sound on low.

Yennisse happily invited Civic, Ariel, the biker woman, Amanda, Orion, and Luciu in her apartment. Yennisse immediately went over to the biker woman and started talking to her excitedly in Hungarian. "Hello there! My name is Yennisse Vancura. I am twenty years old. You will be staying at my place, if that's ok with you. I am Hungarian and here to tell you that you are among friends. You are perfectly safe here and I promise that no harm will ever come to you. You no longer need to be afraid.

"I don't know if you heard of us, but we are irangels. We were once human, but now we are something completely different even though we still look human and can still eat human foods and do normal human things. So thankful for that! Anyways, these people are not going to hurt you; they are here to keep you safe and help you in any way you need. We can get you some new clothes and anything else you want. Feel free to feel at home here; it's your home now."

Yennisse gave the biker woman an enthusiastic hug. The biker woman slowly hugged her back, the relief that somebody finally knew her language clear on her face. The nice, bright, elegant, and well-lit apartment and ambience certainly helped put her in a good mood. "I am Kirrie Bacsik," the biker woman said to Yennisse. "I thank you for your kindness."

Yennisse beamed. "The pleasure is all mine. Your blue eyes are so beautiful; they are like waterfalls, so gorgeous and pretty. Here, have a seat! Would you guys like coffee? I made peppermint mocha. There are peppermint sticks and marshmallows you can put in your coffee."

Kirrie was stunned. No one had ever called her beautiful, nor had anyone ever commented on her beauty. She had been abused for such a long time that she hardly knew what the word beautiful meant and how it applied to her.

Civic was pleased Yennisse didn't seem to mind how Kirrie was dressed. She simply took her in and accepted her regardless of how she looked or where she came from. There would be time later to learn her story, he figured. For now, it was time to make Kirrie feel at home and among friends. And maybe, also, one of our kind, Civic thought, remembering Demian's proposition of turning her.

Yennisse went over to the kitchen and came back out several times with coffee, moving speedily due to the way irangels naturally moved fast, her movements like a dance as she excitedly gave everyone a coffee. Kirrie sat down on the comfy cream white couch, finding it hard to believe she was in such a nice place. The irangels sat down as well, the guys sitting on the far side or on opposite couches. Ariel and Amanda sat near Kirrie but not too close, giving her some space.

"This is a very beautiful place," Kirrie said to Yennisse with genuine wonder in her voice. "Are you rich?"

"No, not at all," said Yennisse, handing her a cup with an owl on it. "I had to use my savings to get this apartment. I have nowhere else to go and I wasn't sure what to do since I only have a few more months before my money runs out, but now that you guys are here, I'm not so alone after all."
