The real Cydtin was already at the university. He quickly scouted the location of Kevs Arslanian, mind controlling the admissions office into giving the information, including the student's class schedule.
Cydtin easily persuaded Aghasi Nahabedian, the programming and C++ instructor at ATU, to leave the building and go home for the day. He took the students hostage, forcing them to stay inside the classroom while he located Kevs. After he found him, he forced everyone else to go home, keeping the classroom hostage while emptying the campus.
Cydtin didn't like Kevs from the moment he saw him. After a quick read through of his mind, Cydtin learned that Kevs was a troublemaker student who got low marks on his exams and liked to party. He bullied others out of jealousy and low self-esteem. His parents argued often, and he was scorned upon by his siblings. Pressure was put on him to excel in his schoolwork, only to fail miserably, unable to keep up with his parents' expectations.
Cydtin folded his arms across his chest, unimpressed as the student nervously stood among his fellow classmates, intimidated by the irangels. Kevs felt he could best one irangel, but three irangels was too many for him to take on.
Inlivido was guarding the door to another part of the building while Kaylie guarded another entrance. Cydtin had the students stand against the wall, commanding Kevs to stand in front of him. He lasered his eyes on him, watching the student shakily walk towards him, fearful of the irangel.
"You know, it's considered an honor when the irangel President of Armenia wants to see you, or any respectable president for that matter," said Cydtin, watching Kevs's face turn pale when he realized the identity of the irangel leader. "It has come to my attention that you, Kevs Arslanian, spoke out of turn with one of my most trusted irangels. You disrespected him, questioning why he was even associated with me."
"Mr. President, I – " Kevs barely managed to speak when Cydtin sharply cut him off, reprimanding, "Who are you to disrespect a fellow irangel, speaking against my kind?"
Cydtin glared at Kevs, fury drenched. Kevs tried to back away, a feeling of trepidation running through him, but Cydtin compelled Kevs to stay where he was. Humans are so much easier to control than irangels, Cydtin thought to himself, almost rolling his eyes in a statement of wow. They have such weak minds and they easily give in to whatever they want. Give them money, sex, fame, fortune, and they'll willingly bow down in front of you. So pathetic.
"Go ahead, shake in fear. I'll show you what I think of your disrespect," Cydtin said in a low threatening voice, his blue eyes boring into Kev's brown eyes. He didn't allow him to say a word, compelling him to remain helpless at his mercy, as he held Kevs's mind in his grasp, accessing every thought and memory. He brought Kevs's fears to light, replaying his worst fears and nightmares on repeat, forcing him to undergo such mental torment.
For Kevs, it was the fear of heights. Cydtin turned his fears into nightmares, projecting the illusionary mental image of falling off a skyscraper building, splattered in his own blood upon the fall. Soon as the nightmare ended, the same nightmare started again on repeat.
At the same time, Cydtin's control spread through the hostage students, collectively grasping their minds and wrapping them in a blue haze, allowing everyone to see everything what he was doing to Kevs inside his mind. They gasped, backing away while terrified that Cydtin might do the same, since he knew every thought, every memory of every person's mind held captive within Cydtin's control.
