Prologue - The Overlord and the Eminence in the Shadows

Introduction.

Several beings were facing each other.

On one side was a skeletal creature that is devoid of skin and flesh. It was wearing an elaborate blue-black academic dress adorned with gold and violet borders. His entire body is made only of bones. He also has a dark Red Orb floating under his ribs that emanates a feeling of fear.

Beside the skeletal creature were his servants.

A flawless beauty, a woman with straight black hair and the face of a goddess. She has golden irises with vertical pupils. On her left and right temples are two crooked horns, and at her waist are a pair of black angelic wings. She wears a white dress with silk gloves, and wears a necklace that covers her chest and shoulders.

A vampire with small stature and the appearance of a 15-year-old girl with large breasts. She has pale glossy skin, reddish eyes and fine facial expressions, silver hair tied in a ponytail with a bow on top. She wears a black evening dress with a heavy skirt. The top is a thin bow tie and a short lace jacket. Her hands are covered with lace gloves, exposing no skin to the outside.

Besides the two of them, there were several other servants.

On the other side

There was a thin young man with short dark hair. He wore a full body slime suit, gloves and boots, along with a hooded jacket and a domino mask. This costume is dyed black with gold patterns. In front of the darkness of the night, his red eyes stood out. His clothes swayed with the night winds as the moon shone in all its splendor.

Just like the skeletal creature, beside him were also his servants. Or as he prefers to call them, his followers.

A young elf girl with long golden blonde hair and blue eyes, a slender figure with ample breasts. Like her boss, she also adorns the customary slime costume with the chest area exposing her cleavage, as well as unique decorations printed around her uniform. In addition, she wears a domino mask attached with a flower to hide her identity.

A beautiful voluptuous young elf with blue pupils and silver hair at shoulder height with a left braid behind her ear, as well as a mole under the corner of her eye on the same side. Her outfit consists of a low-cut dark slime suit that exposes her cleavage with gold decorations around her chest, shoulder, arms and waist.

A beautiful teenager with long black hair and a large dog ear on top of her head. She sports purple eyes. Her body is a slender build with an ample bust. Her attire is similar to that of the other girls, with black and bronze coloring.

Several other followers were there as well.

Both sides looked at each other in a hostile manner. It was as if a war was about to happen right there.

And indeed it was.

The leaders of both sides looked into each other's eyes. With an imperceptible nod to the others that only they could see, they spoke at the same time.

"Shadow Garden/ Nazarick, advance!"

With that, both parties moved forward into an all-out war.

There was a boy with a big dream.

He wanted to become a special person.

He didn't want to be the hero of the story or the ultimate boss. Rather, someone who interferes and wields his enormous power hidden in the shadows. This is the kind of "Eminence in the Shadows" that he always wanted to be. It may sound like something ridiculous to almost everyone in the real world, but not to him.
