Chapter 2

Sonic happily walked into a small restaurant with shadow walking behind with an annoyed expression the place wasn't that famous but the food was to die for and since sonic was a regular the place had gotten a little more popular you know him being the hero of möbius and all

Once they walked in a female hedgehog greeted them "sonic it's nice to see you again" she said "hey Amelia" sonic said waving to her and heading to a table booth and sitting down as shadow sat across from him "you're a regular?" Shadow asked when he noticed that all the workers were waving at sonic "yeah I really like the food here so I come often" sonic sighed "but, the more I come here the more this place is known so it's almost always busy" shadow just hummed in response.

Then a worker came by and handed the two hedgehogs their menus "hey sonic sorry I couldn't come faster it's just so busy lately" a male cat said "Woah what happened to you guys, looks like you just got attacked by a raccoon" the cat said "no worries Jim but do I really look that bad?" sonic said and started to fix his quills as the waiter laughed.

Shadow just looked at the menu not paying any attention to either of them he just wanted to hurry up and leave so he could just go home, after a while they finally took their orders some people were staring at the two hedgehogs since they looked all messed up but neither of them cared they were just sitting there minding their own business but still shadow didn't pay any attention to the blue hedgehog sitting in front of him which made it a little awkward for the blue hedgehog so he tried starting a conversation "he shad what did you order?" Sonic asked earning the attention of the ebony "I didn't" shadow responded flatly "huh? You didn't, why not?" "I'm not hungry and I don't even need to eat anyway so it doesn't matter" shadow responded "oh yeah I forgot, but you can still eat right?" sonic asked "yeah?" shadow said

"Then order this place is great, my treat" sonic said smiling at his ebony counterpart "no it's fine" shadow said leaning back in his seat and crossing his arms sonic just huffed but stopped when the same waiter from before came with a plate of chilly dogs topped with extra jalapenos with a side of fries "is that everything" the cat said mainly towards shadow since he didn't order anything "actually can we get a slice of the famous red velvet, for my friend over here he's too stubborn to order anything" sonic said earning a growl from the dark hedgehog sitting across from him

Once the waiter left shadow glared at sonic "faker I said I wasn't hungry" shadow growled "come on shad just try it" sonic said when the waiter came back with a slice of red velvet cake with a strawberry on top "come on it really good" sonic said grabbing shadows fork and picking up a price and held it close to shadows face "say ah" sonic said treating shadow like a child on purpose to get shadow to eat, but shadow just looked at sonic as if he were saying 'seriously?' after a few seconds sonic was going to pull away since he was just kidding "I'm just messin' with ya-" sonic said but stopped when he saw shadow take a bite from the fork making sonic slightly blush he was just kidding he didn't expect shadow to actually eat it

"It's good" shadow said chewing slowly savoring the taste "o-oh, really? I wasn't sure if you'd like it" sonic said and smiled a little and took another piece of the same and tried to feed shadow which he just sighed and let sonic feed him sonic completely ignoring his own food "you know you don't have to feed me right? I'm perfectly capable" shadow said after the third bite "your food is gonna get cold" shadow continued "oh yeah I forgot" sonic said as shadow took the fork from him

And started to feed himself as sonic started to eat he was blushing a little since he hadn't realized that he was still feeding shadow, shadow noticed but didn't say anything he thought sonic looked a little cute... 'WAIT cute he isn't cute why would I think that?! his face is so annoying if I look at it too long I get mad' shadow thought as he watched sonic eat when he finished his cake 'he isn't even a little cute let alone attractive nor funny not anything' shadow thought still staring at sonic which he felt someones gaze but he didn't think much of it not knowing if it was shadow.

Just then the waiter came and put the bill on the table and walked away shadow put his attention on the bill and decided to pay for sonic shadow didn't mind paying even though sonic said that he was to be honest he kind of enjoyed being there, But he couldn't show that.

shadow looked at sonic when he saw him lean back in his chair and yawn sonic had finished everything and was now tired, shadow chuckled a little "full?" shadow asked as he started to stand up as sonic also stood "yup" sonic said as they started to walk out sonic completely forgetting that he promised to pay.
