Let me save you

Chapter 8

At shadows house the blue hedgehog was finally waking up, sonic was laying under the cover hugging one of shadows pillows he slowly opened his eyes since the medicine was wearing off.

He didn't want to get up since he was surrounded by the ebony hedgehogs scent making sonic feel safe, but suddenly there was a loud sound startling the blue hedgehog he slowly sat up in the bed slipping his shoeless feet out from the covers resting them on the ground he looked around the room in search for his shoes, he got off the bed when he saw his shoes by the door when he was about yo put his shoes on the door slightly pushed open sonic could hear the sound of engines just behind the door the engine sound got louder as they enters the room but still didnt spot sonic who was still standing behind the door.

He silently slipped his shoes on to see three robots there was two bee bots hovering around the room and one bug bot standing right in front of sonic but it hadn't noticed him yet so sonic took the chance and spin dashed the bug bot destroying it immediately, catching the two other robots attention starting to fire their lasers at the blue hedgehog.

Sonic dodged all the attacks but instead of the lasers hitting him it hit the ebony hedgehogs wall leaving burn marks on the wallpaper 'sorry shadow I'll pay for that later' sonic thought dodging more of the lasers and spin dashing the two robots but i guess sonic didn't fully destroy one of the bee bots because once he was about to leave it started to make a loud alarm sound sonic covered his ears hissing from the sound he turned around and stomped on the robot until the sound stopped, sonic sighed and uncovered his ears they were ringing and he could still hear the sound of it even after it stopped already.

Luckily it stopped after a little while but his ears hurt slightly but he just shook it off and ran out the house but couldn't go any farther since there was a hoard of robots in front of the house sonic slowly backed up and opened the front door again walking back inside not loosing eye contact with the robots standing outside and shut the door 'oh shit?' Sonic thought and walked to the back door so he could escape from the backyard
CRASH
Sonic looked back slowly the badnicks had broken down the door and where randomly all attacking him at once destroying almost everything 'oh shit!' Sonic thought and booked it running out of the house and jumped the fence 'sorry shadow please don't kill me' sonic thought as he ran into town looking for his friends but there was nobody the once busy town full of people is now emptier than a store after black Friday "maybe i should go home, tails might be there he'll know whats going on" sonic said and ran over to the home that the two shared.

Sonic reached for the doorknob and twisted it but it didnt open it was locked sonic hadn't expected this since he always left the door unlocked 'did tails lock me out?' Sonic thought as he searched in his quills for his keys unlucky for him he didnt have them he tried nocking on the door and ringing the door bell but still no answer so he gave up and went to the next place he could think of "angel island! Knuckles never leaves the master emerald alone he's gotta be there!" But still no one in sight which made the azure hedgehog start to worry about his friends and ran over to the next house he knocked on the door and rang the doorbell multiple times when he was about to give up he could hear slight whispers from inside he put bis ear agains the door and listened "who is it?" A voice whispered from inside "i dont know vector go check" "what why me?!" Another whispered back to another "vector?" Sonic called out to the ones inside "sonic?" One of them said and slightly cracked open the door.

"Vector? Why are you in amys house?" Sonic questioned "our house got destroyed by some of Eggmans robots so amy is letting us stay here" vector responded "where is everyone?" Sonic asked seeming more relieved "they're in town fighting the robots" vector finished as sonic ran back into town without saying anything else he ran through town and came across cream and vanilla "hey cream! Hi vanilla!" Sonic greeted the two rabbits "hi Mr sonic" cream said happily "do you guys know where everyone is?" Sonic asked cream nodded "they Mr knuckles and tails just saved me and cheese from a big robot" cream pointed in the direction as she talked in her usual polite tone "thank you" sonic said before he headed in the direction cream pointed.

Sonic caught up to them before they got too far "sonic?,what are you doing here?" Tails asked landing back on the ground facing his brother "Eggmans been attacking why didn't anyone tell me?" Sonic asked "because you were already injured it wouldn't help if that were to happen on the battle field too" knuckles chimed in "but im fine really, wheres shadow?" Sonic asked "i think he went to go fight Eggman" knuckles responded "but sonic i dont think you should fight! What if you get hurt agin?" Tails said worried about his brother "dont worry little buddy I'll be fine, trust me" sonic said patting the small foxes head giving him a reassuring smile tails hesitated but gave in "ok i trust you, but please be careful"

Tails said "i promise" sonic said ruffling the foxes bangs once more before running off it wasn't difficult to find Eggmans base since he had so many scattered everywhere and the fact that sonic has been to all of them. The closer he got to the base the louder it got he could hear the sound of fighting from afar knowing he was close he ran towards the fight to see shadow fighting multiple robots at a time one of them being metal sonic but something was different he was stronger and a whole lot faster they were surrounded by other robots lots of badnicks firing at him and attacking him they're were also three larger robots there firing missiles his way luckily he was fast enough to dodge the attack everywhere around them there were broken parts everywhere.

Shadow did a chaos blast destroying half of the badnicks and two of the larger robots but still couldn't get rid of metal which frustrated shadow he had already been tired before the battle and now he had to deal with this it was a good thing he had brought his emerald along but he was using more energy than he could regain, when shadow was fighting metal the ebony tried looking for a weak spot but no luck he was thrown back roughly hitting the ground metal walked over to shadow about to end the battle but shadow wouldn't just let that happen since the robot had its guard down shadow kicked the robot in the stomach making fly back and bump into a group of robots destroying them.

Seeing this sonic jumped right into the battle to help the ebony sonic started spin dashing the badnicks avoiding all attacks shadow heard the sound of the robots being destroyed and looked in the direction it was coming from, ruby orbs met with emerald ones "faker what are you doing here!" Shadow said "hey shads, i just wanted to help" sonic said smiling and continued smashing robots "get out of here it's too dangerous!" Shadow said glaring at the azure hedgehog "calm down shads- shadow look out!" Sonic yelled looking behind the ebony metal sonic had gotten up again and was about to attack shadow.

Shadow quickly looked behind him metal sonics fist close to his face about to punch him-
