"So the radio hut has like an actual radio? I thought it was just, like, for your guy's announcements." Ryan asked.

We all are walking in a line, I'm in the middle when Dylan is on my right and Ryan is on my left.

"Oh yeah, yeah. It used to be more of an actual radio station actually. Um... Uhh- Y'know I mean, it is still, technically, but nobody brings their radio to camp anymore." Dylan told him.

"Yeah..." Ryan muttered.

"I gotta say it's weird, actually, that there used to be... kids with their radio and portable CD player and everything and... You know, nowadays, everything we need is on the phone, but Chris takes it on the first day so that we're not "distracted by technology". I kinda enjoyed having a no technology summer." I said.

"Technology... it giveth and it taketh," Ryan smirked.

"Okay, but Ryan I don't understand how it's fair that we didn't get our phones this summer and you did," Dylan asked.

"I have my ways, Dylan. Anyways, do you guys wanna get into technology-related stuff?" Ryan replied.

"Camp radio?" Dylan asked.

"No like, uh... DJ'ing. Or music. Something." He replied.

"Oh! Um... yeah I mean I like music, but... I think I wanna major in um... Quantum Physics." Dylan stuttered. He obviously looked embarrassed.

"Wait- what?" Ryan chuckled.

"Yeah..."

"Dylan! That sounds really cool. You should go for it." I smiled.

"Thanks, I definitely will."

"Not trying to be mean buddy but you don't really seem like a... science guy," Ryan said.

"Oh yeah. I mean, you know... not, not here."

"I- I'm sorry, I'm so completely fascinated by this. What do you mean by, "not here"?" Ryan asked.

"Not here, at... camp. I do that at home and then here... I um..."

"You're a wise- wise-cracking smart-ass?" I chuckled.

Dylan laughed and replied, "Uhh, that's a little harsh but um-"

"No?" Ryan said.

"Okay, maybe I was a little nervous when I arrived in an uncomfortable social situation and I overcompensated a little bit by making a bunch of jokes."

"You played into it," I said.

"Yeah, I mean people kind of... enjoyed the blasé Dylan."

"And do- do you enjoy the "blasé Dylan"?" Ryan asked.

"Nah, yeah, like, you know, whatever, man. It's pretty cool... It's fine..." He muttered.

We all chuckled.

"Um... I like Dylan Dylan." He said.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, "Dylan Dylan". I'm Phoebe Phoebe." I smiled.

"I'm Ryan Ryan. Well actually, I'm 'let's get the fuck out of here Ryan'."

"Yeah, I like him. He's- That makes a lot of sense." I said while smiling at Ryan.

He smiled back.

"Anyways, Dylan don't be scared to show who you are! That's cool you like science. Like I said you should go for it." I said.
