10 YEARS LATER.

"Kaylee, come upstairs sweetie!" I yelled from upstairs.

"Okay, mommy!" She yelled back.

Kaylee ran up the stairs and entered her room.

"Hey, sweet pea." Ryan smiled.

"Daddy!" Kaylee squealed.

She jumped onto Ryan and gave him a big hug.

"Aw." I smiled.

"Okay, time to go to bed, Kay," Ryan said.

"Aww, why can't I stay with you and mommy? All my aunties and uncles are coming here." She whined.

"You will see them on Monday! Remember your play? They are all coming." I told her.

"Yay! Okay, I'll go to bed... but please tuck me in." She said with puppy eyes.

"Of course," Ryan replied.

Ryan and I sat on the ground next to her bed.

"I love you, my angel," I whispered.

I kissed her on the cheek, and so did Ryan.

"Have sweet dreams," Ryan whispered.

"I love you, mommy and daddy." She whispered back.

We got up from the floor and we left the room.

"You are such a great father." I smiled at Ryan.

"Ah, I try. You are an awesome mother." He smiled back.

He gave me a loving and deep kiss.

"Can you please finish the spaghetti and salad? If you don't mind I'm gonna take a shower." I asked.

"Of course! Take your time, babe." He replied.

He went downstairs while I went into the bathroom.

I started the shower and began to undress. I looked in the mirror and noticed my hand.

Not again. Not again. No no no!

I fell to the floor and I start hyperventilating. All the flashbacks coming at once.

"FUCK MY HAND! CUT IT OFF! CUT IT OFF!"

No! No!

"I'M HERE PHOEBE! ME AND RYAN ARE HERE!"

Why is this happening?

"It's okay, Phoebe. I'm here. You're safe in my arms."

"Phoebe?! PHEE!" Ryan yelled.

He closed the bathroom door and turned the water off.

"I- I it happened again." I stuttered.

"I know, I know. Here come on." He wrapped a towel around my body and sat me on the toilet.

"Look at me. Everything is okay. I'm here. You're safe. I will never let anyone hurt you." He whispered.

"O-Okay." I stuttered.

He wrapped his arms around me.

"Nothing will ever happen to you again. I promise." He reassured me.
